Well, all of the work and effort went into designing warbands and its favorite section. And so why even waste anymore development time with the login screen and just put out something that is basic and low effort and gets the job done.
Personally I guess it doesn’t bother me too much, there have been changes to this game over the years that are far far more terrible.
My favorite log in ever was Wrath. When I really started playing.
Aren’t those different departments tho?
Your troll threads are really boring
I didn’t realize the login screen was out. That is so bad looking!
Oh no, a boring login screen that I’ll only see for 10-20 seconds before I see my warband list of characters! Blizzard how lazy, don’t you know that if I don’t have constantly stimulation every 2 seconds then I get super bored and play another game and/or scroll TikTok until I become a lifeless husk!
We demand a screeching dragon every 2 seconds, a low-humming portal, a loop of extremely loud heavy metal music played with banging pots and bagpipes, and flashing colors with someone mumbling meme words in the background.
No no I don’t need new Shaman changes, this is more important, in fact, it’s so important, I will file a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and you’ll be hearing from a lawyer!
I think I’ve actually looked at the Dragonflight log in screen a handful of times, and those were more than likely all due to servers being down.
Maybe it’ll be one of those slowly-changing ones that gets more interesting/detailed with each update, perhaps carrying through to the next two expansions.
… wait. Who am I kidding?
This is Blizz.
Don’t get your expectations up too high.
Who knew that the art team worked on the coding for account wide stuff…
Login screen is fine.
Like I said in the other thread… it’s not bad… but it lacks zhuzh… zaz… zest… ze ne zais quoi!
(Shush. I know that’s not how it’s spelled.)
seems a bit boring and lazy like its some wallpaper they came up with in 5 minutes.
I think it’s fine. It’s clean, it’s simple, I see it for two seconds.
It’s a log on screen not like we are going to spend any quality time in it .
Anyone that is complaining about it is the kind of person that isn’t happy unless they have something to complain about
So Karens you keep on Karening
Whenever I see people complaining about little things like this it gives me hope that it’s going to be a good expansion.
We pay $15 a month if not more, we also pay $50-90 for expansions every few years, I think it’s safe to say that we do deserve something a little bit more. That and, if all that effort went into warbands then I am worried for the rest of the game. Because let’s be honest, Warbands are not all that exciting, if anything it should’ve been done sooner.
I don’t really care for the login screen but it could be etter
Nah Blizzard was just lazy to do a better login screen .
The ui/ux team are separate from the real game developers that designs the zones and raids and all those things. But one thing they both have in common are designers and which the ui/ux team does have a designer in their team.
And plus TWW is looking like the continuation of dragonflight.
They could have made the wow login screen with figlet and I’d have been fine with it.
I think it has some neat effects on it. It’s kind of hypnotic, and looks appropriate to the theme of the new expansion, like a Titan console almost, sealing the World Soul. Maybe it’ll change to look more broken-open later when the story progresses, that’d be cool.
I can’t wait to see it with music, and I’m jazzed that if I take a nap but don’t shut down the game first I won’t get startled awake by sudden Dragon Yelling.
Yeah Wrath had an amazing one, although the Cata one had me wondering why the front gate of Stormwind wasn’t melted after Deathwing sat on it
