you don’t even need that, you can literally just use your heirlooms to run through the entire questing experience and forget to upgrade the random pieces that were gotten pre 60 and do fine, use the quest gear and stuff still dies well before it poses any major risk
i dont have or use heirlooms at all.
then use the questing greens, 9/10 they’re literally better than looms now anyway
Nah man, levelling my evoker I definitely encountered some areas/quests that were very rough on the damage I was taking especially early in the levelling experience before I could fill out more of my talent tree and get my Mastery up enough. I can definitely see it being frustrating or hard especially for more casual or less experienced players to solo some of the quests if they are not accustomed to defensives, optimized rotations, and stuns/interrupts
The dungeons are just incredibly efficient, it’s like a 10 min queue, 10 min clear for half an exp bars worth of exp and chances at good gear and drakerider manuscripts. If you’re questing during the queue and especially if you do those levelling world event areas (I forgot what they are called, they aren’t world quests but like “kill these adds to fill a bar” events you get) you will be getting around 1 level per queue/dungeon clear cycle easy and it’s even faster if you queue tank or heals
you don’t need an optimized rotation for leveling evoker, fire breath, living flame, quell and disintegrate can literally carry you through until 70
most of your tree is also filled out by the time you leave their starting zone, and all your key talents are already grabbed
I dont wanna be the dude …but as shadow i have literaly zero! issues in leveling…actualy none…nothing is threatening nor deadly…everything falls over in couple of spells.
Also leveling is done in one evening…its so fast it almost bringhs up the question why its even still here…they have to recisit it and make it way slower imho.
It’s not that DF leveling is hard, but DF leveling is, I dunno. Boring? Like it’s not very engaging at all for some reason and I can’t really put my finger on it. Maybe it’s the zones, I don’t know. But I know in BFA and WoD and to some extent Legion it is easy to get into a groove where you just go boom-boom-boom and knock out quests fast, easy, and it’s fun. SL and DF zones are not very fun to level in, except Revendreth, Revendreth was a pretty fun zone to level in but I could be biased.
THANK YOU!!
I’m re-rep grinding (I say re-rep because I have the rep already and the acheevs but I have it on my Mage and I want it on my Priest) and I am BORED TO FREAKING TEARS. I’m 7 rep away from getting 100 Reps Exalted but…Like doing dailies is such a slog.
I legit don’t get how “solo” players find this crap fun compared to running a mythic dungeon.
mythic dungeon me up everytime. I am not running 20 keys currently. No I don’t care I am still having fun in my 12-14s.
i have to disagree. certain classes i find struggle hard on some of the campaign quests. the wyrm one where they hit for 8-12k and constantly attack. you’re dead within about 30 seconds unless you’ve got lots of self heals or defensive cooldowns or stuns. my rogue kept dying to them at least a half dozen times before i had to get someone to help me.
the golems in the preceding quest are just as bad. roaming in packs with 167k and two 87k hp mobs.
I see that you’re a Warlock.
Yes, leveling is bad as that Void Walker CANNOT HOLD THREAT. I hate how bad it is at holding Threat.
well im more referring to rogues and mages and to some extent shadowpriests. affliction lock i did ok. yeah void has been trash ever since they nerfed him in bfa.
I don’t see why they cannot at least let Void Walkers be able to hold threat even remotely good as a BM Hunter’s Pet. Especially when all Void Walkers can do is build Threat and be an HP sponge.
I haven’t had too many problems leveling my alts this expansion.
I flat gave up leveling my priest and mage with questing in DL. Just did pet battles and city dailies to level up.
Mage leveling is by far the hardest and slowest out of all the classes. Put me in the driver’s seat of any other class and I can mow down mobs twice as fast as my mage and with far less damage to myself. This is why the only spec that you can really level in as mage is either frost or arcane. Fire is purely for group content. Arcane is basically mages melee spec. Frost just gives you better CC.
It all comes down to the fact that mage basically never got updated from its 2004 design. It’s a class that inherently only really works when it can do double the damage of any other class. But since that is no longer the case, the class just doesn’t really work properly anymore.
There’s a reason why mage is the least played class in the game now.
but i love fire spec.
Ive gotten into PvP because of that.
To each their own. The great thing about this game is there is plenty too do.
That’s why I’m waiting on timewalking to finish my Mage. Their leveling experience is garbage when everything hits them like a truck and kiting isn’t a viable strategy when every questing area is packed with mobs near each other. Then there are the Caverns which is full of packed elites.
What? A class that can avoid, sap, and stun lock? It’s not even my main and I had zero issues leveling to max.
Rogues are like wet noodles while leveling.
