we’re at the end of the expansion, and you can’t even skip half the stuff that you did on your main. this is horrible blizzard lol. you’re just paying for level.

What can’t you skip?
With the XP buff, I’ve leveled a lot of chrs to 60 recently and: I can skip the Maw intro (at 60, not 58), I can skip the SL story-mode, I can skip to Korthia, I can skip to ZM.
What else is there?
Or are you saying if you buy a lv60 boost from the shop, it’s somehow different? If that’s the case, I’ve actually never heard anyone mention that before. And it’s obviously wrong.
But for just leveling a chr, all the skips are there.
Probably because people like having a say in how other players choose to play the game.

I think the only people who disapprove of the boost are those who either
- (Dislike leveling or want level boosts) and (aren’t willing to pay the high cost for it)
- Have players who have freshly boosted characters in their raids, BGs, etc, but have no idea how to play the spec because they don’t have the experience that someone who leveled the character would have.
Level Boosting is not really playing the game, anyway leveling in wow is not really a valuable experience so I don’t care at this point. Probably still shouldn’t be in Classic as that is a big part of the game back then.

The leveling experience is so fast and easy that it doesn’t really teach new players anything anyway. I bought my girlfriend an account in BFA and she leveled a hunter to 120 by just using the first 2 abilities it gave her. I asked her why she wasn’t using anything else when I was watching her play one time and her response was “why? the stuff is dying and I’m not”. She was playing BM and didn’t even have KC on her bars. She had even joined a few dungeons while leveling and surprisingly never got kicked out for low damage because apparently putting a dot on everything and cobra shotting was enough dps. At first I thought sure, she’s playing a bm hunter, the pets doing all the work but there are a lot of specs where you can just throw talents anywhere and use 1-2 abilities and be just fine throughout the entire leveling process if you’re just killing one thing at a time. I’ve leveled quite a few characters this expansion and it’s just a real dumbed down process and I actually really enjoy leveling characters (sitting at almost a full account of level 50+ toons).
As for the topic in general, I don’t see the problem. I haven’t used a boost even from the preorder yet, but of all my friends who have the gear is garbage but you can instantly get into zm and upgrade it with flux regardless of what kind of content you like to do. You can instantly get renown 60 and all conduits at ilvl 200 which is more than enough to get you started. I don’t see the problem.
yeah it’s the level 60 one, but i got it with pre ordering the expansion.
So you’re saying:
-If you bought SL and leveled a chr to 60.
-You played that chr to the “current game”, eg: up to ZM.
-If you then buy DF, it comes with a lv60 boost.
-The lv60 boost … cannot skip Maw/Korthia/ZM?
If that’s the case, that’s wrong. And, I don’t know what else to say but, this is the first I’ve heard about it.

I have zero progress anything PvP on this toon for almost all of this expansion. You are not going to embarrass me by posting my PvP armoy screenshot like that. i will come right out and say it since you deleted it as well as the comment you posted. I have 0 PvP progress on this toon for the entire expac. I have not gotten a singe HK on this toon for the entire Xpac. Not random BG not arenas, not RBGs, nothing.
I have been unlocking PvE stuff and also doing Loremaster on 6 different toons. Just got it on my warrior. Now working on it for this toon. I do KSMs and KSH on numerous toons.
And to add onto my OP in this thread about you saying cliche things.
You are only saying that because other people are saying that. And it is not true.

- People who think people shouldn’t play alts.
- People who can’t stand the idea of someone else spending money on something they wouldn’t spend money on. This permeates their lives.
I wouldn’t describe the boost as bad, but I would say that it’s overpriced for what you get.
Yet another miss from you. 0 PvP rated this toon this season. It will auto show 1500 when you search for someone and you dont know how to do it because that is the lowest it will display.
My current PvP rating on this toon has nothing to do with the discussion. My current M+ rating also has nothing to do with this discussion. If we were here talking about keys, or arenas or RBGs then yea that stuff would have meaning here. But we are not.
So I am not 1500 rated. I am 0 rated on this toon currently This is not the toon i do my main PvP on currently that would be my warrior which is not even in this guild. In our other linked guild.

I don’t care what people spend money on so long as it doesn’t have butterfly effects that come to influence the social and economic environments of the game in question. Like if you wanna spend your paycheck on gacha games rolling the dice for animu waifus, go for it, it’s your money not mine and nobody is ever going to impacted from side effects as a result. MMOs are a bit of a different beast.
