Have you thought about it when you joined the Horde?
Because it’s the best color.
it’s red because it’s covered in the blood of wasted characters for bad plot.
Because they broke their chains and seized the means of production.
It’s the color of passion, anger, lust, very bold and emotional color. Blue is just the antithesis of it. The ying to its yang. So I guess that’s why Allies got blue. The whole red vs blue shtick.
It could have also just been a random choice back in Warcraft’s early days. They needed a color for units?
Because we’re the bad guys
Do we need to liberate the Alliance from their kings and lords too?
Yes comrade.
Urrrrrrrrrrrrrra! (Can’t even post this on its own)
(this forum’s censorship is even harsher than in the Soviet Union)
Urrrrrrrrrrrrrra!
What sorcery is this?!
:o
Anyone who thinks this is one of the reasons Horde has had bad story.
The Horde flag likely has red because it is the color that represents what might be considered the tenants of the Horde:
Courage
Strength or power
Struggle, or the bloodshed for said struggle
Mein Struggle or Class Struggle?
TBH Horde is very anti-com if you think about it. Honor, Merit, Earning Your Keep. These ideas aren’t exactly values within communism, especially those last two. You either have to be useful to the Horde or get ignored. Don’t exactly get things given to you in the Horde for merely existing except a bad reputation because our leaders are poorly written.
It was said to be the struggle for independence, but in the case of the Horde I’d say more likely to be the struggle they face to find their place in Azeroth.
In both the Soviet Union and China, they made tons of propaganda about hard-working workers or heroic soldiers, so I’d say they do value merit.
In the time of Stalin, they actually had a policy of “If you don’t work, you don’t eat”, which led to mass starvation because apparently a lot of people didn’t work “enough”, so I’d say they take “earning your keep” to the extreme.
wait, we’re not the bad guys?
