Why is the horde community so toxic to

i get ganked and /spit on, sent rage whispers, and called a furry on both factions, i don’t think it’s a horde thing

There’s no ‘cultural difference’ between the factions, anyone saying this is basically trying to stir things up. Faction swaps have been available for years, it’s not like back in Vanilla or BC when rolling on a certain faction and leveling to max meant you stayed there unless you wanted to do it all over again on the opposing faction.

The most frothing ‘pro-Horde’ person was probably a human in WoD for the racial, it’s just people being people.

I don’t notice anything.

People say the factions are toxic to each other, but hundreds of years ago we burned people at the stake for being witches so maybe human beings are just garbage by nature.

I’m sorry, are we upset? I think I missed that memo. What are we supposed to be upset about?

Your shoulder armor is da poop.

Horde whines for Alliance whining.

Both sides problems.

And it stems from people taking the faction stuff too seriously. Blizzard give one faction a cool thing, the other faction cries, then it goes back and forth, over and over.

And it’s been that way for years, this little game of hot potato, and both sides have people that will tell you Blizzard hates them and has never given them anything.

Your opinion = fact?

So if 6 out of 10 horde “whined” about wanting Alliance disbanded then your opinion on it would be irrelevant?

Yep.

Some of the usuals will probably come and say “Not that many people are unhappy,” but the problem with their claim is the disparity in PvE and PvP progression.

Since most people are human and logical in terms of wanting the best bang for their buck, they will naturally tend toward the path of least resistance, which in this game is to roll horde. While I don’t fault individuals for choosing this least resistant path - because let’s face it, we all have limited time to pursue hobbies such as playing WoW - it does not help the game when so many so easily fold to follow it.

Ultimately, blizzard is responsible for the faction imbalance mess because they created the problem some years ago and have both compounded their error as well as failed to find a way to start to fix it. So it continues to worsen.

On top of that, you have the kinds of people (both horde and alliance) who stridently insist there should be no mixed-faction content put in the game (e.g. mixed-faction BGs or LFG). Never mind that factions have in the past and continue in the present to amicably mix all over the world, even in WM.

In my mind, people who are apparently so strongly against faction mixing - and who have no interest in providing solutions for those who don’t feel the need to incessantly RP that they’re in a ‘faction war’ - can be generally ignored as they are hypocritical and well as unreasonable.

Given the state WoW is in now, mixed-faction content is probably the easiest way to fix faction imbalance issues.

All that being said, I don’t mind a bit of light forum or in-game RP within the current framework of PvP settings. But I do take issue with horde who employ the ‘ignorance is bliss’ and/or denial approach to the faction imbalance issue when it is negatively impacting upon the game as a whole - and will continue to as long as blizz allows its escalation.

To be honest and probably will not believe it. It goes like this.

  1. Revolving war chiefs
  2. Treated like the players is dumb. By constantly changing lore and story and told this was always the way it should have been. A few times taking away a good memorie of said event.
  3. Lore is gutted.
  4. Storytelling is at best dumpster fire
  5. Brought back Thrall
  6. Never win at all.
  7. Made to look like a complete loser who always has to come to the alliance for help
  8. Most racial leader left are either alliance supporter or alliance in all but name
  9. They have not had an expansion where they can at least look average savages without being targeted and killed.
  10. Had no really good Powerhouses
  11. Killing off of Hellscream and Now Sylvanas
  12. Most are grumpy adults
  13. We have a lot of former alliance players. Most either complain a lot or want to be carried. This is one I have a hard time believing also. Not sure on it.

See most players who true horde. Know they are being held back. They getting tired of killing off what powerhouse we have and none replacing them. What we got left is not even close to what alliance has.

Most probably dismiss this or whatever. It how a lot feel. Most of the friends who left and never came back listed many of these reasons. The last patch was the straw that elephants broke back.

Because most of the Horde used to be Alliance and they hate themselves for selling out.

alliance are just complainers, they complain about everything. and they complain about the most nonsensical stuff.

and somehow that is my fault as a horde player? lol.

also if a complaint is nonsensical it is not valid sorry…and also the toxic people are the people who complain all the time by the way.

don’t gaslight us sane people into somehow being responsible for this constant toxic whining please

The internet amplifies it.

Despite the game being out of 15 years, most people having 5+ alts and playing both factions. I see many Horde players mention Alliance players are “different” from them, “the Alliance are whiners”.

I don’t know how many actually believe this for real, and how many are just rabid Horde fanboys who like to crap on the Alliance any chance they get because they can’t tell the difference between real life and a videogame anymore.

For example, a Horde’s Alliance alt just to crap on Alliance.

Why are the Alliance so sensitive?

See how easy that is?

As a member of the Horde, we routinely are labelled as thugs, murderers and genocidal maniacs. For the most part, it’s shrugged off. Occasionally, players push back. Often they troll because some Alliance players are very sensitive.

Pull back the mask and we are all human beings playing a video game. Anyone who gets too wrapped up in the faction thing needs to take a long walk in the sun.
