I’ve seen some YouTube videos where the highlight assist (not one-button) is tested.
It’s less DPS than what the player normally does.
If it’s less DPS, that means those are the WRONG buttons to push?
How is it going to help us be better players if it’s teaching us how to do less DPS? I’m confused. Someone explain please.
Okay lvl 23 gnome DK, i’ll bite !
The reason the highlight assist is less DPS is because the is certain factors the system does not consider when highlighting a spell to press.
Things like anticipation of a dmg UP mechanic, lining up CD’s when it’s best to do so or to hold some cd’s for some adds that will spawn for better funnel damage, this sort of things
Basically, the highlight assist tell you the best thing to press RIGHT NOW
But from what i’ve seen some specs have a loss of 10% from perfect play, which is better than a LOT of people, so this will indeed help them play better

This makes sense. I thought it didn’t include the big CDs in its rotation.
Either way, I’m looking forward to it. I can pay more attention to learning mechanics as a returning player.
Probably because the person already knows their rotation and was simply trying to showcase what ONLY using the 1BR would produce.
So they ignored cooldowns they normally use, they looked at the assist, processed the ability, then used the ability.
All of this is going to combine for a DPS loss for a player that would normally just hit the buttons in the proper order without look at their bars while also using their CDs.
