Why is the feedback for classes NOT STICKIED at the top beggining of this forum?

Have to search thru pages of nonsense just to find

THE CLASS YOU PLAY TO PROVIDE FEEDBACK IS

COUNTER INTUITIVE.

its like you devs want to make it difficult to find our class feedback, so we give up and not post.

I take it as a sign that the class changes are set in stone (except warrior) until after the patch launches. Why else would they only create one thread themselves (prot war)?

Right

People begged other players to get on the ptr to help test, but the feedback system seems designed to

not want the feedback because players can’t find their class feedbacks.

So we go thru the same cycles,

Xpac drops, most classes seem really good

But to the devs, they are too good unless a class happens to be the designated

THE ONE

In which the devs preordained what class will thrive.

Then then the nerfs proceed to make x classes useless because blizz just doesn’t nerf, they always kneejerk over nerf.

In 11.0 is was enh shaman
In 11.1 to 11.5 it was ww monk

You couldn’t get aotc early without 1 or 2.

Because they don’t want feedback. That should be obvious by now.

They do collect feedback but it is after the patch is live and they can collect enough data.

But feedback on the PTR isn’t really something they will act upon.

I think that is a mistake to wait till this patch hits live to start to gather feedback.

This actually isn’t true - they have made iterations on Frost Death Knight on the ptr and specifically mentioned the feedback they were getting as part of the impetus for their changes.

But since the devs do so little communication it is very hard to understand their thought process.

It would have been nice if every major spec rework got its own stickied feedback with occassional blue post changelogs and input from the devs.

Yeaaaaa… its easy to say this without any evidence and pretend I suppose.

From the development notes under Death Knight:

I mean I guess they could be lying or just noting that there is discussion without reading it, but it seems to me that they do pay some attention to class discussion.

As a rule, assume feedback here is never read. The feedback they mean is from high end content creators and raid teams.

They listen to very specific people, not anyone here.

Everyone is bringing up good points but the point remains that there should be a sticky for every class on the PTR forum. Even if it is just bug fixes so it is easy to find.

No it’s not, it’s very simple.

Someone in upper management told the devs to ‘increase player retention’ or some equally vapid and immaterial business catch-phrase. So dev makes some random changes because ‘that’s his job’, despite never spending more than 5 mins with the class on a few target dummies. Then internet gets, predictably, angry. So devs try to save face with PR-riddled excuses like ‘we didn’t forsee X’ or ‘we’re listening to player feedback’, but in the end they care nothing about player feedback and just wish the dumb management would get off their back.
