It’s just crazy that we have to wait so long to use another healing potion. Seriously FIVE minute cooldown? Or am I missing something? I’m not asking for instant cooldown but definitely less than 5 minutes. Like maybe 30 seconds? I know, I know, that’s a drastic change. But some classes, like my DK rely on pots. At least I do. Again, am I missing something here?
People actually use HP pots?
And yea 5 minutes on potions, can’t have people guzzling stuff
They changed if from only one Pot per combat to 5min. I assume for raids where if it goes longer than 5min you can use more than one pot? This and the changes to how drinks work make little sense. I guess if you toss some cloth at a tailor and ask nicely they can craft bandages for you.
We’re not barbarians, we sip.
they did this to destroy the pre-pot META in dungeons and raiding as before pots were linked to combat and you could only use 1 after entering combat.
If you sipped you would get an empty vial after finishing your potion
You absolutely demolish that potion so hard that the vial is just entirely obliterated
That’s because they’re made out of peppermint hard candy.
I guess I could see orcs consuming a potion vial and all.
I like damage potions being this long. Saves me a lot of time farming herbs. The difference between a player who pre potted and one who didn’t was pretty large.
The healing potions though I think should be on a 2 minute timer Useable anytime.
U WOT? I haven’t used a single healing potion as a DK since… ever.
This… they explained at Blizzcon this is why they wanted to change pots from once per combat to once every five min.
Also I agree with this… combat pots that increase a stat or restore mana, sure 5 min is fine. But healing pots… meh, don’t like that they’re included and doesn’t seem like it would break raid/M+ if it was dropped to 2 min.
What do you use? I know most healing pots are junk but the abyssal ones aren’t bad.
Just means more trips to the Port-A-Potty.
Death Strike is typically enough to keep a Death Knight alive, so long as you haven’t over-pulled. And if you did, if you kill one target, the next Death Strike is free and heals a huge amount of health.
Something something ppl used to chug them like sports drink in pvp I assume.
I wish they’d bring back First Aid. It’s very handy for those who don’t have heals. I mean you get a lot of cloth drops anyway. (I do have a tailor that makes bandages for my rogue but I think it would be nice to have this skill/profession make a return!)
Abyssal only heals like 6400 health. Unless you’re talking about a sub-60 DK why would you even bother using these? I mean, did you stockpile them in BFA and just have a few thousand you need to get rid of?
Just use spirituals if you have to, although I still don’t see why you’d have to as a DK.
I assume they nerfed pots because of pvp and everyone macroing the 20% damage increase saltwater potion to their 1 shot or everyone abusing the speed pots either the 50% one or 150%.
My DK is level 51 and I die quite often. I’m obviously doing something wrong. How did I get to level 50 if I die so much? I WAS level 120 until the squish. Now I’ve barely played him until recently trying to.
I take it “spirituals” is some sort of healing from the SL expansion?
Yea the SL version of Abyssal. Heals 10k.
Honestly I’d say Healing/Mana Potions probably should be on their own cd timer and be closer to 3 minutes.
Also unrelated to this, blizz needs to stop dropping making new tiers of rejuvenation potions with new crafting tiers. Just because mana costs don’t go up doesn’t mean you can’t still combine the two with a new tier of healing.
