In my experience wow has the most toxic Community ,like I said in my experience Which means like, guild wars, 2 elder scrolls online and Final fantasy 14 etc

Whitemane cluster is retail tourists and people who just follow trends/crowds.
And yes some poor folk stuck there from before it became that but don’t want to pay to transfer off.
Nothing good about it unless you’re a full time anti social pugger.
Got out as soon as I saw what was happening.

If you want to join Classic, there is one way to begin eliminating your choices. Look at the realms available, do NOT let the game choose for you. I did that, and wound up on a low pop server.
You do some reading, and you will find that Blizzard, made clusters out of most of the realms for Classic era.
Wrath and Classic are two different games. You will not be able to switch toons back and forth.
There is no cloning, and more than likely will never be again, according the WoW Community Council meeting a couple of weeks ago.
At this time also per said meeting there is not a ‘fresh’ or SoM2 on the boards.
Lastly, as of the last patch, Blizzard snuck in some retail like modifications. You will see tons of posts with folks upset about that.
Basically, the game, like life, is what you choose to make of it.
Come find out for yourself. There is good and bad everywhere. Good Luck!
Overpopulated or in this case clustered servers like Whitemane are always that way.
It’s the anonymity/lack of community.
Why I am convinced Blizz trying to kill Era by encouraging everyone to pile on there with the free transfers.
It’ll be just perfectly undesirable to play there and yet be the only option.
It was already bad enough to pay to transfer off(Grobbulus got my vote).
Imagine HC ends and even only half the HC population goes to Whitemane.

No one is forcing you to play on a free xfer destination.
