Why is the chat in Chinese when I'm using English?

My language option is English, but when I logged in, the chat language is in Chinese.

Probably because players are typing in chinese. When you set your language, it doesn’t act as a translator for chat.

I think a lot of chinese players migrated to US realms since the closure of blizz services there. So as others said, just some chinese players.

Not one DF achievements, low post count, level 60, rude name.

Seems legit.

If you want to know what Chinese people are saying, install Translate then point your phone at it :stuck_out_tongue:

Operation Anchorage flashbacks

What does that have to do with my enquiry?

I wish it did that would be handy.

WoW doesn’t have a builtin translator in chat, yet.

that would be cool if mages were able to translate based on their class ability to speak all languages in their faction. (Although I think this is a toy/glyph?)

I was thinking more in the lines of real world translation of party chat or group chat for the languages like Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese.

This would be so helpful, and seems like it could be done. For now I keep google translate open and cut and paste a lot.

Oh yeah, that would be more practical.
