Why is it that if i want mastery forward PVP gear I have to get it crafted?

Also varies by spec and class but vers/haste or crit seems to be the most useful pvp stat.
If it makes any better. The quality is irrelevant.
You can have a tier 1 quality weapon and the PvP level is the max. So use the cheapest mats.

But really why am I crafting the gear… it makes no sense. Let me buy it with conquest.
The purchased conquest gear is still worse than crafted no matter what, because you get ilvl 639 for crafted, 636 from the vendor…
regardless of what stats it is

The correct stat bloody token gear is better than the incorrect stat conquest
So in that case 636 > 639
in order to get the correct stats, you have to craft it as 639
Usually, yeah, and early-mid season you try to find as best a mix of what you can to maximize power until we can fill every slot with conquest pieces.

Or maybe look at the third stat because it’s often really not that bad and it’s really okay to have more than two stats for most specs.
I have to with the PVP Set items, because there’s no choice there. So using the other spots for mastery is necessary, especially for a class that relies so heavily on finishers
