There is no reason for Sylvanas to be contemplating the nature of the maw and concluding that it was designed.
She knows this already.
Her motivation in Shadowlands was that the maw/afterlife was designed by the first ones and that she agreed their design was bad.
Now you have a new quest where you go talk to Sylvanas in the maw so she can explain “the maw is too structured, like it was designed.”
Yeah? Cause if was???

They’re setting up a retcon to say “The First Ones” were actually just the Titans.
I really dislike that we are once again talking about Shadowlands and Sylvanas.
Well she has always been a stupid character that was written badly.
Shadowlands real crime against the player base was not killing her completely and forever.

This! Keep her dead and GONE, like you did with Garrosh. Legion, BFA, SL, she’s had way too much exposure already. Kept her out of WoW now and forever.
unfortunately thats not gonna happen. shes confirmed as coming back in midnight. the datamined models and the devs have heavily implied she is coming back in midnight regardless of what the players want. so if your sub is resting on this. well just unsub right now. cause the storywriters and metzen aint changing their mind.

Either the old writers forgot about it, or they hired new writers that didn’t know about it (because they don’t really care that much about the game story/world and just want a paycheck), take your pick.
Honestly a lot of people would like it if they brought Garrosh back. Close to no-one likes Sylvanas at this point except the writers who are obsessed with her. No sooner did they get rid of her than they inserted Sylvanas 2.0 (Xal’atath) into the game and had every cinematic feature her closeups of her feet lol.
I know plenty of players that like the Dark Lady.

Oh boy.
Just because her fanbase hasn’t had much to talk about doesn’t mean they are gone.
Sure, she has her detractors among the Warcraft fanbase - Human fans because of how she dealt with Arthas and Garithos, Orc Fans because of how she dealt with Saurfang and Garrosh, Night Elf fans because she burned their tree house… but she has plenty of folks eager to see her back in the game.
She certainly is the most interesting Windrunner.
The last time we saw Sylvanas was when Anduin stopped by to talk to her in the Maw.
Where have you seen her since?
Well actually she was one of the best characters in Warcraft along with Arthas. We have yet to see any characters as good as they were. Her actions in Shadowlands were understandable considering that Zovaal had a large portion of her soul.
And she is right. The system of death created by the First Ones is flawed.
