Why is shadow priest top of pve and pvp caster again?

As a warlock main, it is frustrating when the leader implied that he prefers a spriest to fill in the caster roaster, both in raid and rbg, it is an off spec from a healing class, why is it top of the caster totem once again???

Warlock is always top tier, but shadow brings PI.

Look for a better guild.

I pick to play warlock instead of spriest because I don’t want to cringe over PI drama and I want to see my gears, not a ball of shadow, I don’t want to change main. Mage and Warlock should be top casters, not an off spec of a healing class.

Since MoP, Blizzard has decided that it doesn’t matter if a class can perform roles other than DPS where a particular spec is concerned.

I can understand you not liking the aesthetics.

From what I understand its also much easier to perform well on a warlock than a shadow priest as well

So sure, in the very high end spriest will be better but not alot of people are gunna be doing that well

Most spriest I’ve played with are pretty mediocre

Destro is on the come up in m+ atm after the most recent changes. They haven’t had chance to play the best weeks of the season since people catching on, but expect them to see a lot more representation at the high end in the next two weeks.

Yeah and paladins/monks should always be at the bottom since they fill 3 roles. Druids should be even lower.

Exactly. OP was complaining shadow priests were top and had heal offspec. Since they have a heal spec also they should do less than mages and warlocks since they only have DPS specs.

Honestly couldn’t tell you, I don’t have a warlock in my raid or mythic group so have no real person to compare things to

Just looked at dps rankings on wowhead, all three lock specs, blood dk and mm hunter ahead of shadow. Why are you posting on a level 10 warrior complaining about being sat on a warlock?

Shadow is not an off-spec for a healing class. It is a DPS Spec for ‘a’ class.

Sorry your DPS spec got passed over by another DPS spec.

they dont just have “a” healing spec, they have two, priest is a mainly healing class since 2/3 specs are healing, simply math, if they are not concentrated on shadow, they can go both ways, they should not be as powerful or more powerful than classes that only do damage.

And since the forum won’t me let reply to different ppl, have to be one at a time. No it is not hard to do dps on spriest at all, their spells are straight forward, I simply dont want to receive whispers to PI them ever again, or looking at a ball of shadows, instead of my chosen gear’s actual colorations.

It’s getting a total rework coming out in 3 weeks so it’s not gonna matter.

warlocks will be super fine.
