Why is RP-PVP the most popular?

I get that the streamer server is popular for that reason but even besides that it seems RP PVP server has the highest demand. Do people actually RP?

I’d like to join just because it seems to have the most people, not because I’d like to RP.

Are RP servers generally NOT full of RMT, GDKP, etc.?

Asmon had 130,000 people watching. He went there.

RP is just a good ruleset and vibe when it comes to community behavior. And people who like the RP vibe also like to play PvP servers sometimes, so…there it is, boys.

I think it’s a mixed bag. I myself am not a huge RPer, but I respect it. I also like the community more and like to participate in their events.

I find the people on the server are dedicated to raiding just not at the toxic level, and people are more willing to help others. Which is huge.

It doesnt have a very high demand, but all the streamers went there. If you want evidence they dont care about RP or naming, go to any new zone.

“INV ASMON LAYER”
“INV TO WALL”
“INV TO CRUSADE”
“INV MCCONNEL”

All characters named garbage like “Omegakek” or “Superpallyxd”

Hopefully they will enforce the RP naming rules, lol would be funny having two see half the server have to change their names.

I dont think they even can at this point, CS is a write-off server. They are making a new one called Chaos Bolt and I truly think ANY player who has any interest in RP-PvP is currently upset enough to reroll once it spins up.

Whoever played on Grobbulus during classic would want to experience it again. It was epic.

The community.

People who don’t RP generally go there because as a whole RP, even RP-PVP servers, tend to be less sweaty/tryhard. People engage in PVP but generally not for the “lol imma grief you” reasons you find on traditional PVP servers. They don’t enforce the naming policy as much but also you tend to see people who have at least some care about lore-accurate names and not the standard memey/CoD handle type names, which helps with immersion. You don’t want to see people with names like “xxxbadpally” or “keklolz” even though they sometimes pop up.

Basically, they tend to be a good mix of people who want to have FUN both in PVE and PVP, many of whom want to RP/immerse themselves, but don’t want to deal with griefers, gankers, and tryhards. While those can still exist, they usually are less prevalent and less obnoxious on RP-PVP servers because the community doesn’t want them ruining things. You probably won’t find people supporting trying to run the opposite faction off the server like what you saw in Classic on traditional PVP servers, for example, because then nobody wins.

They should have never come to an already popular RP-PvP realm.

They would have had the same following on a PvP realm without the disruption they are doing and will be doing to the economy. Asmond already has 4 subguilds. All the streamers colluded together deciding this disruption. They don’t care about the realm.

Their guilds will NO DOUBT be buying gold and trashing the economy. Soda’s guild gave him 20K gold for a GDKP offhand live on stream yesterday on HC. Yeah, I am sure they farmed that 20K picking flowers.

McConnel and Esfand already regretting it publicly on stream.

It was a stupid decision and one that did not need to happen.

It’s highly possible a lot of streamers might move to Chaos Bolt - smh.

Cant even queue there rn. Says full pick another realm.

Alliance chars are locked out of the short pvp realm queue. So Lone Wolf it is.
