That wouldn’t promote what was sought after, surely the creative devs who play the game designed it closer than now.
Once it went upstairs to accounting (most likely the Candy Crush team) it was raised to create large gaps.
Which in turn creates a yearn, which can be obtained very quick at a price.

lmao, every time I see twink hate, or people complaining about those who want XP off, kept out of the regular queues, I always think, have these people played PVP at max level? Because max level is the most broken “twink” bracket of all.

I don’t think so. I think it’s the old-timey veteran PvE devs who think that the reward for being on top of the heap should be unimaginable power. I think they also think that the existence of players with godlike gear and power will inspire the millions getting farmed in graveyards to want to emulate those players and push hard for rating. Or buy tokens for lots of carries.

The gear gap right now is a little rediculous if you ask me.
But I think at the same time it has more to do with burst meta currently going that results in huge 0.5 second windows of damage and if you’re not in atleast Challenger 1 gear you wont survive it from anyone Rival or up, which wasn’t as much the case in the past.
Also I believe I’ve seen you around BGin, you’re pretty good.

Absolutely positively 100%. But I did have a low level plant a flag of ownership in a number of your servermates last night when they were bravely attacking the handful of Horde in Orgrimmar. I even had to look up my other flag toys to keep planting.

But that’s exactly how it’s always been. Even way back in vanilla when high end players would stand on the Ironforge bridge and “display” themselves. Noobs would think to themselves, “gee I wonder if I could get that.”

i mean, lets take mop for instance. I dont recall the gear exact number but i remember vivedly it had a descent dipararity between Honor set and Conq set. More than 20 ilvls.
If you were in patch 5.3 for instance boy you were late to the party and difference was BIG, you could buy a pre crafted set whichw as worse than honor set but better than nothing… but it still sucked and if you pvp you had literally no money soo most of the time people would just spam BGs till get the honor set regardless and would need to spam arenas to get the conq set.
So this whole dispararity, 2 currency and required to do rated lets face it is something that has been around here for quite some time. Legion reduced it a lot but legion tempaltes literally removed player agency on its own chars and bfa best pvp gear was pve sets.
The only new and unecessary issue in the list are the gear upgrades for honor sets lol.
