It’s super easy, get out of here.
If PvP gearing is as good if not better than PvE gearing was supposed to be before they nerfed it, what’s stopping them from nerfing PvP gearing?
That’s what i’m worried about.
The funny thing is when pvpers still think it is garbo vs pve.
Strange… I don’t see 223 ilvl PvPers walking into raids stomping all the PvErs on the charts.
Yet, I see 223 Ilvl PvErs walking into arenas and Bgs with 10k+ more hp than all the pvpers stuck in the 190-200s and curb stomping everyone.
Weird… It’s almost like the reverse is actually true…
Question do said pvpers have the same knowledge-base as the pver on how to do the fights and are their stats the ideal and not just loaded on vers which would likely be bad for actual performance in pve?
Right now if you armory top PVP guys most of their gear is from PVE. I think where the real disconnect comes in is that i think it’s much easier for your average PVP’er to clear PVE content than it is for your average PVE’er to get a solid PVP rating. Essentially giving people who focus on PVP an extra gear source.
That is yet another issue. All pvp gear is loaded with vers, which is not an ideal stat for everyoen in a PvE setting.
By far the best way to get gear objectively is to PvE. OP is completely wrong.
As opposed to M+ and Raid gear which also has somehow a ton of Vers on it.
WoW does PVP better than other games.
PVP is fun.
PVP let’s you know you’re online playing with and against other people, whereas in PVE you might be fighting alongside other players but you’re all just fighting computer-controlled NPCs created by and sent forth by Blizzard.
It was neglected for good reason. The PVP community in Warcraft (as well as pretty much every other game with PVP content) is historically very toxic and is never happy regardless of what blizzard says or does. So I assume that blizzard just stopped bothering to try after a certain point. Because I know that if I was getting crap no matter what I did then I would be a lot less motivated to keep trying.
I’m still holding out hope though that once 9.1 or 9.2 rolls around they will revert back to mythic plus and raiding being the best ways to get top level gear and PVP players will once again be forced to actually play the game if they want good gear.
Every time I see this argument, I remember the countless threads about how “X spec it’s outdpsing me! Nerf!” or “This boss’ too hard” and then I remember about how people being awful it’s because I swore off raiding…
And I laugh.
It is hilarious how he calls PvPers toxic then immediately puts down their gamemode with the dumb line you quoted. Zero self-awareness.
Also, why is it always people that don’t and have never PvPed talking about how toxic the PvP community is? Besides LFG, which is toxic no matter what content you are doing, PvP is no worse than PvE. He’d know that if he wasn’t just parroting what he reads from garbage-tier forums like GD.
PVP is fun I really don’t understand how people couldn’t like it.
Put a wholee bunch o AOE on a S.priest or hunter to make them move. Watch dps drop…next. Or rogue jsut CC’s the crap out of them lol.
I still remember the uproar when one meta for S. priest was found in BFA that had the forums raging from the pve people. The one month it didn’t suck to be a s. priest. and only one comp you had to play decent to pull off.
PvE players are mainly toxic about the game.
PvP players are mainly toxic to each other.
That’s the difference.
It’s not(should be), and if it was it would be fine because pvp is the hardest content in the game.
-
The content gets harder as everyone gears, while it’s the reverse in pve.
-
It’s the only content in the game where you can’t download an addon and it tells you exactly what’s going to happen up until the last second and never changes course, like pve scripted content
now this is true elitism.
uses slang like ‘self-awareness’, nihilism like ‘garbage-tier’ and overall a very well written masterpiece. the pen truly IS mightier than the sword.
Yeah bro, 1 piece every 2 weeks is objectively the best way to gear, especially for classes who don’t want versatility. Smh.
M+ is still objectively the vest way to increase your base ilvl.
Come back in week 15 when people finally start getting full sets then maybe I’ll listen.
Doing multiple forms of content is the best way to gear, prove me wrong.
All classes want ilvl now pretty much. Early expacs, Primaries are always pretty strong. Vers isn’t bad either. For me, it’s like 1.25 weight to my other stats being 1.4 weight, Strength being 2.6 or something ridiculous.
Getting Rival (1800) gear nets you 220s. By now, you have 3 items you bought. It also gives you a full row of 220s in your Great Vault. The PvP Glad badge trinket is BiS for many specs.
To get 220s in PvE, it’s Great Vault only except for Mythic raiding or Den/SLG Heroic, whereas in PvP it’s on a vendor for which you can pick the slot that benefits you most.
Every PvE player worth their salts are at least Rival if not Duelist in something. PvP is absolutely the best way to fill out a gear set.
Got bored and tired with PVE feeling unrewarding
Tried PVP and had some fun. Hit conquest cap in one night.
Now I’m timegated x 2 weeks until I can get another piece by the cap increasing.
