I just use a macro to place angelic feather at my feet and use that whenever I need a bit of a boost. The way I see it, even though it is intended as a group utility to speed other people up, it’s more valuable to the group that the healer actually be able to be in range of them.
This is actually true. You cannot play a priest without rocket jump in 10 man Rated BGs.
We didn’t get the swipe, and undead seems more OP rn with how often you get feared in pve, and the underwater delves.
I think people are really overestimating how effective these two 2 or 3 minute cds will be.
It’s not really the 2-3 minute cds people are looking at. More the gliding and such.
My main is a goblin specifically to stop knockbacks, something I can do on a 90 second cd as a utility racial. I’ll gladly swap to a race that gets to do that on no cooldown for free, then have more racials on top.
Daaaaaaym. This makes so much sense.
Double jump is like a 40% movement speed increase over regular running for a class that lacks good movement options. It also allows you to redirect in air from displacements since we don’t have any charges or blinks or anything, of which this raid has a ton of displacement effects. For Disc priest the Visage form does a ton of out of combat healing… For a spec that cannot heal when out of combat that’s huge. Priest has no hard CC. This race has 1 hard CC (2 when I wrote this post). All 3 priest specs love mastery.
You get all of this just by picking a different race. Multiple overlapping problems with how bad Priest is, fixed with just a race choice.
Priest has historically been unable to attend high end content because we lack basic stuff all other classes have. And have had to race swap to compensate. Please just fix the class. This pay 2 win post was meant to be a joke but I’m not really laughing at it anymore, and I think most priests aren’t.

Dracthyr are blatantly overpowered when any class but evoker can be them. Blizzard will have to adjust the racials on every other race or simply nerf the dracthyr if they want to pretend they still have any integrity as designers.

Not for nothing - but is there even a Blizzard left now? Just in the past 2 years they fired like 30% of their team, then Microsoft bought them and has done two major rounds of layoffs, and a bunch left due to the scandals and such…
It was a popular rumor back in DF beta (not sure if true) that the priest/druid dev was unceremoniously encouraged to leave and did… I don’t know, maybe Blizz is just like Ubisoft now, a meaningless name borrowing on past glories for corporate/bad dev decisions.
This is definitely no longer a “stay subbed indefinitely” game for me.

There have been a few videos on ptr about the speed difference it makes for priest and it’s not small.
And being a dwarf lets them clear out poisons that they wouldnt otherwise be able to clear, but not every priest is swapping over to a dwarf… Racials have always been in the game and always will be, to say you need to swap over in order to be good is an absolute joke just stop dude.

Then explain why there are non dwarf races? Or why there were non Human players when they had the OP rep bonuses or OP stun removal…

I might get a “booooo” for saying it, but Dracthyr Glide needs a small cooldown (Evokers can keep the no-CD Glide). I said it.
Something like a 6-12 second CD so it isn’t spammable. This is going to create such a weird rift for everyone not playing a Dracthyr. Even with a small CD, this will still be so powerful.

New update on the Glide function. Not sure exactly how much this nerfs Glide, but it’s something.
Probably still objectively better goblin, but won’t provide a speed boost.
Instead of focusing on something small and inconsequential for someone playing at the level of a forum frequenter, like racials, you could just . . .
