The speculations are more evidential than ever before that N’zoth will play a major role in the story but my question is why he is the only Old God that gets a comeback story? What about Y’shaarj? C’thun? Yogg?

Because WoG is that the old gods are dead, dead in physical form apparently.
Personally, I liked the whole thing where the old gods that are currently entombed/imprisoned are quite literally unable to be killed because it explained why they were left alive by the titans in the first place but bad lore is still lore as fortunate or unfortunate as it may be

They will all probably have a comeback in the inevitable void expansion.
That is already explained. The titanforged couldn’t kill them, so they imprisoned them. Remember,us killing C’thun in vanilla was a shock to everyone, including the Old Gods.
The Titans couldn’t kill them. When they killed Y’shaarj it left a gaping woumd in the planet.

I liked when the Old Gods were mysterious and out of reach and it was the cult that was the danger.
Once you put stats to a pantheon in rpg terms, they become loot pinatas.

Yes I know they sealed them because they were effectively unkillable. But we literally killed them during their respective raids.
Why wasn’t that done/tried aeons ago by the titans just to make sure?

I think that was the issue right there . Pulling them out would cause more harm to Azeroth but us killing them on Azeroth to where there husks would dry up over time wouldn’t cause major wounds . As for returning Bellular did a recent video talking about the old gods going back to where they came from and being able to return . Kind of like those from the Legion being killed and being sent to the Twisting Nether and being able to return .
