Why is normal speech being censored, of late?

I typed the word “circumstance”, and the middle of the word was censored. What kind of funky algorithm censors that?

I keep the filter on, so I don’t have to see ACTUAL vulgar words, but this is just bizarre.

Please go back through that algorithm of yours!

I’d guess the algorithm around it gets updated periodically to prevent commonly used bypasses for the filter.

Though if it’s doing this, that is kind of funny.

I half-laughed about it, because it’s just downright hilarious. “Dingle-berry” has been censored since the launch of the game, which definitely had me laughing!

Seriously though, they should recheck that algorithm. The next thing you know, we won’t be able to talk about The Goonies without it getting censored!

Filters in games are always weird. I had this problem in Palia too. Tried to say something to help someone out and it censored the most benign words.

To be honest I am surprised in game chat is still enabled at all. The only servers that actually need it is RP. GTAO removed text chat and the game is amazing now lol

This one was definitely NOT coming up as a problem, before. What’s the point of the filter anymore?!

It exists as a barrier for parents to use so their kids don’t see such things. Or for anyone who doesn’t want to see it.

My guess is that they were trying to add something in and it got added all funky.

At least we can turn it off. Palia’s is permanent and pretty messed up.

I just don’t want to see slurs. I know you can report people for them, but that’s why I had it on. I turned it off when it kept censoring ridiculous things.
