Shouldn’t be allowed to need items and sellem. I’m fine w/ needing mogs, taking side grades etc. But selling it is just stupid.
Ninjaing to trade to people like guildies is BS too. WHY?

If someone wins the roll, they can do whatever they want with their loot. Their roll was the highest, meaning they won fair and square. Needing to sell isn’t something I like to see, but I would also rather have the freedom to do whatever we want with the loot we obtain. Trading to your friends isn’t a bad thing either. Like all systems, you kinda have to take the good with the bad.
When you figure out a way to detect it, be sure to let people know.
The stupidist thing I ever saw was someone who rolled on the 2h sword off N’zoth during a mog run, won it, and then proceeded to try to sell it to the raid. We all of course quite rightly laughed at this individual.
There are still idiots trying to sell the flying mount from the garbage rare in undermine for 100k starting bids . Meanwhile the raid I was in yesterday was getting them left right and centre and just giving them away for free.
They won the roll. It’s there to do what they want with it.
Everybody should need on everything until the idiocy of loot rolls in pugs is replaced by individual loot again. It’s the only way to level the playing field.
I rolled greed on that new hearthstone, because well, surely no one “needs” it. Felt bad looking at the rolls. Ha Ha
Your first mistake. Just assume someone is going to need on everything.
Make need BoP.
I think it already does, doesn’t it? Thought they changed that a LONG time ago.
How do you propose Blizzard stop people from selling items that they rolled need on and won?
Nah, if you need an item and don’t equip/use it, it can typically be traded unless it’s affected by various restrictions.
Well… really no matter what, you lost the roll fair and square. So can’t be that angry. If you’re pugging everything, maybe try to not end up in a guild run because the odds may be stacked against ya lol.
Shout out to all the 660’s needing in LFR. lol
I meant BoEs. Thought they changed BoEs (at least epic ones?) to bind if you roll need on them. Must’ve been a dream.
I totally spaced on the trading mechanic.
You can’t need on those since they are personal loot, at least from LFR to Heroic, meaning you could probably pawn those off mid raid if you wanted. Might work differently in mythic at the moment though. There was something about keeping them bound for the first few weeks.
Good grief, I’m so behind the times. x_x
If it’s needed on, it should be Soulbound immediately. They ‘needed’ it right? That solves the issue elegantly.
There’s nothing to solve. The system works as it should.
No. Using need when you should be using greed or transmog, is in effect gaming the system and cutting in line.
