That’s not the reason for this post. I understand what you’re saying, but I’m unable to leave my guild (family and friends), and suppose it was the other way around and I was on a low-pop realm (like you’ve stated), my point would still be valid for high-pop realms. I’m still the one who is pugging mythic, and the lockout has and will keep screwing me and other people like me, over.
Except the only difference between getting kicked on heroic and on mythic is that on mythic, if I get kicked for some stupid reason or I under-perform, that’s it, I’m done for the whole week.
And I agree that mythic raiding is a sport, it’s supposed to be a challenge, that’s why I enjoy it. But why even add the ability to pug realm-wide if blizzard wants you to be in a consistent group? It seems counter-intuitive.
I know a guild on my original server who teams up with other small realm guilds to do Mythic every tier, as there’s just not enough interest for 20 people on their home server.
This change supports them, while still keeping Mythic as content with high group-coordination in mind.
There are a lot of cross-realm groups that do Heroic then go in to Mythic once Cross-Realm is open. I was in one for BoD on my alt. Maybe look around for one of those?
Am I wrong in thinking that the lockout is tedious and annoying? And that pugs get the shortest stick in this situation? Why add a system for pugs if the conditions are so unfair for them. Again, I think it’s just super counter-intuitive.
like m+, mythic raid wasn’t desiged for the pug experience. you can do it, but it’s not optimal.
the system is the same for everyone.
the solution to your discontent with the mythic raiding system is to join a guild, not to rip it apart so the “I refuse to commit to a group” crew can easily consume it a la carte.
In the past, cross realm mythic never happened in the current raid tier. People complained about it, so Blizzard made the change to open it after Hall of Fame. And now people are still complaining about it.
Mythic was not designed for pugs. To make it more pug friendly would make it less guild friendly, which is a terrible thing to do.
More than 2 OH WOW, you now need 3 down from 20, dayum, are you legit trolling? OP was talking about mythic nyalotha and you come here memeing with mythic from past expansions? if i describe how dumb this is ill probably get banned.
I will agree the Mythic Lockout system can suck, but as others have pointed out there are reasons for it.
Selfishly, I would want the lockout removed from non-current raid content. The amount of times getting to Opulence in a random PUG and it failing is high. But that also illustrates the main point of others, prevents people who think it’s a cakewalk from coming in and knowing nothing.
You are right, i did eonar while it was current, you struggle 1 expansion behind, kinda funny, but hey past expansion mythics are hard, ill probably struggle on Argus more than Mythic Nzoth /s
Now can you read again OP post and realize hes talking about Mythic Nyalotha and you are just all over the place? your arguments are legit meme worthy.
Too much effort and not enough payout to continue this post, as it seems only very few people are actually trying have a legit conversation and the rest of them are trolling, derailing the post, or are contributing negatively. I’m dropping it here, you guys continue if would like. Thanks for those who actually tried to have a conversation, I have changed my mind.
To OP, i would honestly just join a mythic raiding guild, i understand that you are in a guild with friends and family, that was my case too, but im still playing almost always with my friends and i just raid with my mythic guild, it is possible to do both, try it, if you make it work its gonna be all worth it.
