fair point, but i have replaced literally every part of my connection, even the cables.
this happened today, looking into my error logs i found this. Multiple(8 seperate) errors related to apple bonjour service. Happened at the exact time i was frozen and DC’d
(mac addresses removed) this is what appears connection related below
mDNSCoreReceiveResponse: ProbeCount 2; will deregister 4 Holonet.local. Addr
mDNSCoreReceiveResponse: Received from 16 Holonet.local. AAAA
mDNSCoreReceiveResponse: Resetting to Probing: 16 Holonet.local. AAAA
I actually went a step further. Tried a whole new router…again. The Apple AirPort Extreme I had was failing it seems. When cable company modem was used the bonjour service was still there. Cable company router was crap as well.
I picked up an ASUS rig strix ax-3000 router.
Played all night without a disconnect.
Though I’d truly love to know…
Why a 10 year old Apple router that is failing managed 44-48 ms connecting to proudmore from east coast…
While my rog strix which is brand new…can’t get under 79ms.
For reference I get 580.28 dn and 23.53 up at 23ms when speed testing to nyc (where my wow connection goes before somehow crossing the planet the long way to get to cali. Spectrum traced it for me…)
I’ve been following this thread since I got the exact same issue starting last week.
So a new router fixed it…?
This made me seriously doubt the one xfinity installed in my home…
I wonder if others who experienced the same issue also use xfinity, or in the Greater NY area.
Okay… I wonder how did you get to the error log that exposed Bonjour service.
I looked through my services, no Bonjour (fully removed it years ago), but it could be some other service. But I don’t know where to look / how to get that log.
Getting the same thing every night during primetime 5CST-10ishCST. World latency hops up to 250-2500 after hovering around 25-40 all day up till then. I can do world boss/raid/mythic plus all i want during the day just fine perfect performance but then something happens and it all goes downhill at night for several hours. Tonight it was 530ish-9PM where it was unplayable. I live about 100 miles from Chicago and play on a central server located in the Chicago Datacenter.
During this high latency period I can play Wrath Classic, League of Legends, Apex Legends with absolutely no problems. No stutters or lag. Netflix, Youtube, Twitch, Speedtests are all unaffected when this is occurring as well.
Here is a trace from a previous days issues. On hop 8 you can see the big spike on its first hop after entering blizzards network on the previous hop 7.
Tracing route to 24.105.35.67 over a maximum of 30 hops
