Multiboxing was around and allowed in vanilla wow.
It doesn’t make sense to ban it in classic.
I think it was banned thanks to Classic, the amount of anti-Multiboxing video start to pop out once multiboxer started spamming sappers, killing people with world buffs.
Did they ban multiple client log ins? Or did they ban the software that input broadcasts?
multiboxing isnt banned
using a program to automate your secondary + sets of accounts is
It isn’t. Why are people finding it hard to grasp that?
It isn’t banned.
Multiboxing is fine, you just have to do it without using software to broadcast inputs to the other clients.
Can’t say anyone on the receiving end will miss them.
Did I click on the wrong forum? is this classic forum?
This is the way it should be. If someone wants to manually control 4 characters to each use a sapper then I don’t care. If they’re going to broadcast input to 4 other characters with no effort then they should be banned.
Regardless if it’s classic or retail, the broadcast input software shouldn’t be allowed!! So I’m glad they did this.
Because people won’t stop saying that it is, misinformed populace
Maybe the classic forums have an answer?
Multiboxing isn’t banned.
The software used to facilitate it is. If you can find a way around that. You can still multi-box.
But here’s the reality.
When Blizzard said there’d be no changes to Classic WoW, what that meant was in regards to game content, not Blizzard policies. Blizzard’s policies affect both versions of the game.
Are there any rules that Blizzard has that don’t apply to Classic because it’s supposed to be unchanged? I mean, they capped your daily instances at 30.
Because it’s easier to exploit and ruin the economy in classic.
Also the software that they are using to cheat didn’t exist when the original WoW was out.
Multiboxing is cheating, bro.
They don’t want cheaters in Classic.

There have been a great many changes. Saying “no changes” was just paying lip service to the people who were hoping to get exactly what they had in vanilla, rather than a game that is more like a hybrid of vanilla with some of the worst aspects of retail and “recreations” that resemble what they were supposed to be like in name only.
Without using software. In other words it’s impossible.
Multiboxing software was allowed in vanilla.
