Seriously… BEFRIEND A MULTIBOXER! They are such an awesome asset to have.
A multiboxing thread! My favorite!
Nowhere near impossible! Much less efficient though but the rewards you’re thinking of would be the exact same without third party software
It’s a rare occurrence to run into one. How can this distract you so much? Just move on and play the game.
So what? Money is practically useless unless you’re paying your sub with it. People still manage.
Money. Freedom? Stop trying to control everyone.
I’ll be their friend if they throw some of their disposable income my way. I don’t come cheap ya know.
because forum moderation allows spam in here but gets their panties in a bunch when we make a thread about being willing to pay real world $$$ to buy a trinket this pathetic joke of an RNG game refuses to fork over after 6 weeks.
And, depending on who they are, they might!
Mine does. She’ll also run me through anything that she and her 7 accounts can, if I ask.
Takes the bait
There is a search feature. If you really want to know why, please, search the hundreds of threads already made on the subject.
Have a great weekend
Oh god… not this stupid thread.
Seriously, stop beating this dead horse…
I look forward to a fresh multiboxing thread everyday
You have beaten it so much that you are digging a hole.
well maybe one day blizz will throw multi boxing in that hole and bury it for good. until then…people will just keep digging lol
The oldest thread on multiboxing I could find was from 2007! That’s 13 years of digging, that hole must be fairly deep by now lol
I am just looking for an honest justification for the practice is all.
I’ll direct you to my old faithful list of blue responses
https://blue.mmo-champion.com/topic/38904-multiboxing-rules-and-semantics/
It’s got responses to the most frequently used multiboxing arguments including “Third party stuff” “automation” “botting” and “blizz only allows it because $$$”
HI!!!
I’ve seen people running upwards of 20+ toons at the same time using multibox and all they do is farm for items and gold.
I’m actually impressed when I see people MBing 3+ characters. I would go insane trying to run that many.
It is game breaking in a sense that it detracts from the aspect of being immersed in the game.
I don’t think it breaks the immersion anymore than seeing a large gathering of people going on the warpath.
Additionally, it gives players an unfair advantage over the Auction House and chance world drops.
Ok, but it might be a possible benefit to the community as well. If they are able to farm more and are putting more stuff on the AH. That means there is more stuff for people to buy and if they are selling their stuff cheaper than other people.
That just increases the buying power for peoplepeople. Especially if you have people that love to charge insane prices for mundane things. People are allowed to charge whatever they want and I see nothing wrong with people charging less than the competition.
So I have to ask why does blizzard allow this practice?
There are a couple of reasons in my opinion.
- It could be that it’s still money in their pocket.
- It doesn’t violate anything that they consider to be game breaking.
but considering they have to use a paid 3rd party application to run multibox,
Not always, there are free multi-boxing software as well as just using hardware to multibox. When I multi-box I don’t use any third party software and I do well enough.
And without these programs the practice would be almost impossible.
The programs just make multi-boxing easier. They are not needed to multi-box.
So why does Blizzard allow it to continue?
For possibly the reasons that I and others have mentioned perhaps?
This again. I’m still waking up.
20 boxers are super rare unicorns. You’re lucky to come across one they’re so rare.
I’m going to see if I can find the SFA post regarding multi-boxing. From what I read, simply having multiple accounts or multiple World of Warcraft windows running at the same time is not a problem. What IS a problem is using any form of program/keyboard binding to use all of the avatars simultaneously. So again, if I am recollecting that rule post correctly, anytime you see somebody running a syndicate train of avatars that all mimic the prime user, or even act without the user directly interacting with that particular avatar (botting), then that is a violation. By the way, if you really wanted to know, you could post this in the Customer Support Forum. That is where Blizzard employees interact with players, not in the General Discussion tab.
Blizzard has said software that transmits keypresses to multiple accounts is fine so long as it’s one keypress per action per account.

I learned this on accident one day. I did a search for something and responded to someone and a blue responded to me First time ever, and someone used that same acronym “SFA” and that’s when I realized I had goofed and strayed out of GD

Is this your setup Jingyia? https://technabob.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/eve_multiboxing_1.jpg
I’ve heard most of them buy up WoW tokens using their farmed gold so they are really paying nothing.
Pretty much. But maybe the reason is to give players the illusion of a functioning market.
No, mine is a lot more simple.
That is CRAZY but if you like to multi-box and it works all the more power.

Imagine living in a world where pressing one button, and casting 8 abilities is still one press, one action.
Ah the stupid comment of the year.
