And why are the releases stretched out so far? The last wing of Castle Nathria won’t be open until Feb 2. Why? Who benefits from this?
I am seeking an answer, not trying to start something. Please respond if you know why this happens and what the benefits are of doing this.

I don’t know if Blizzard gave a definitive answer, this is just how it’s been since I believe Siege of Orgrimmar.
In my mind, this might be to preserve the feeling of linear progression so you’re not queuing up for Denathrius before other wings have been completed, but that’s just my speculation.

That makes sense to me. I am just curious why some of the wing releases are 3 or more weeks apart, but also, I might play more often than the regular amount (I play about four to six hours a week). I was hoping for the next wing to come out for my alts to enjoy the raid, but it looks like it won’t be here for another two weeks.
That might be due to the holidays, it’s weird timing this go around. It should be every two weeks but I don’t LFR so I haven’t checked the schedule.

Always has been.
Even Dragon Soul was similarly gated.
to encourage people to try normal+ if they want to see the content sooner.
I haven’t looked at the LFR schedule this time around, but it’s usually 1 week between each wing, might be different since christmas/other holidays are coming right up.

This is an interesting thought! I admit, I probably would have done the Normal raid anyway, but if LFR was out from the start, I wouldn’t be trying to get into any groups for the normal raid on my alts at this time.
They started gating it so WF raiders wouldn’t have to run it on the off chance that a raid finder piece would insanely titanforge.
They’ve kept it now because it’s just another time gate thing to keep player metrics up.

Killing deathwing the first week in lfr ruined the whole feeling of progression for me. Didn’t get the rush till I killed him on heroic.
cuz that sweet 187 loot is too OP
