Why is Leave-O-Bot so close to treasure clicks?

In delves, why is the Leave-O-Bot 700, directly over treasure? Dear Bliz, please move it, it is so prone to a mis-click.

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt, would like to murder leave-o-bot.

I’m thinking mostly for giggles.

The better question to ask is “Why is the Leave-o-Bot? At all? Ever? Why would we need it?”

Because you can just right click your icon, drop group, and be at the entrance. It’s an entirely unnecessary addition to delves and likely just an overt trolling of players by the devs.

They like to do that kind of thing whether people will admit to it or not. The Leave-o-Bot exists simply to give you the rope to hang yourself with a misclick and a run back.

Same reason Brann likes to stand right on top of everything you ever need to click.

So very true

I’d give them the benefit of the doubt if it prompted a confirmation window. Since it doesn’t the goal seems obvious to me. It’s there simply to have an opportunity to waste your time.

I believe it is to force players to use the Interact button. Same reason why Brann can be across the room and you click on something next to you but it selects Brann as a the target.

Because Blizzard does not have enough time to polish the game anymore.

They have enough time. They don’t have the will, desire, or incentive to find the time to polish the game.

It’s arrogance. They think they can release whatever half-finished and half-baked experiment on us and we’ll still pay for it.

Well so far that assumption is paying off pretty well so they appear to be correct.

True, plenty of people still pay for it. But estimations right now are something like 2 million subscribed. In the past they’ve had more than 5x that. If they cared a little more, I think they could easily double their revenue.

I know a lot of people who USED to play wow, but don’t anymore for various reasons. Most of the reasons seem pretty surmountable.

EDIT: I consider myself to be more patient than most and the level of frustration I feel playing this game makes me think that many less patient people would not put up with it

thankfully i havent misclicked it yet, but i’m very careful around it, i move my camera to be low to the ground so the chests take up most of my screen

Lack of care / polish or purposefully trolling - pick one.

Also, why aren’t ‘Leave-O-Bots’ in all instances, or at least the context menu option to exit?

You realize that they probably would take that to the extreme:

“Are you SURE you want to leave the delve?”
click yes

“You have chosen ʻYesʻ as your answer. is this correct?”
click yes again

“Choosing to leave the delve cannot be undone. please type in the box “yes. i want to leave the delve” exactly as shown.”
Types: Yes, I want to leave the delve.

“We are sorry your answer dosenʻt match the necessary answer, please make sure your answer exactly matches the example”
grumpily stabs out: yes, i want to leave the delve

“You have confirmed that you wish to leave the delve. safe journeys”

it isn’t arrogance if its true
oh now I’m sad. anyone got a good puppy vid to cheer me up?

I’ve spent a lot of time defending this game. but at some point people will realize this game is bad in its current state. things move slow before they move fast.

Man, Brann can be 30 yards away and still his targeting circle is over everything I’m trying to interact with, lol.
Though I have gotten much better at angling myself to use my interact with target keybind because of him, for sure.
