In the other exp packs you just skill up and learn recipes from the trainer as you skill up. In Legion they got you doing dozens of quests for recipes. Thank goodness BFA went back to the old way! Though unlike BFA there’s no rep grind or pvp grind for ranks. Not sure just yet as I’ve just started.
Any crafted items in Legion that are still good beyond Legion? Like MoP had the Sky Golem.
there’s a mount. steelbound harness to summon steelbound devourer mount. fel core hound harness is the name of recipe that drops from a boss in nighthold. need the 100 in bs skill, of course.
but yeah, currently leveling it on an alt toon and the quest part is the quickest part. trying to find a recipe that’s not ~100 ore per point past 75 skill, not even sure one exists atm. found it easier to level during legion.
the only way seems to be a few weeks of doing blacksmithing world quests. which was fine when it was current content but going to be a drag in the current version.
I loved the quest system in Legion, added some flavor to the profession beyond stand in dalaran for 5 minutes a drop a few grand in gold training. The only issue was the stupid bile quest for alchemy, which skewed everyones opinion on the system in Legion unfavorably.
Removing the quests and lore in BfA is just another failure of the expansion.
Having to do dungeons just to advance a profession kind of sucks in Legion. Also Wow won’t let any char over 110 to use the built in raid finder tool for Legion dungeons, so you’re kinda stuck soloing the dungeons at 111! Likewise BFA is forcing PVP for professions, otherwise much is stuck at rank1 where you’re lucky to make any profit at all.
