I can be cc locked for over a minute with me actively trying to break the cc with trinkets and racials while most of my cds don’t do anything to level the playing field but I can’t have lay on hands because why again?
Ya I agree paladins need more defensive cooldowns
Meh. At this point it’s about equal to a swiftmend crit from a Rdruid so why not.
Because Firetruck you, that´s why.
Let’s all imagine 2v2 with Holy Paladins having access to Divine Shield, Lay on Hands and Blessing of Protection. Now imagine fighting teams with Zandalari Retribution and Protection Paladins with Divine Shield, Lay on Hands, Blessing of Protection and Regeneratin’.
Because cooldowns that are 6 minutes or greater are automatically disabled in PvP. Can’t really think of another reason besides that since LoH does apply forbearance. If it were ever to be enabled in the future it would have to be self only or something
The biggest issue I can see with allowing LoH in a rated environment right now is it would allow us to throw away Divine Shield as a defensive and use it offensively along with wings to put out more unhealable pressure, knowing we have LOH to fall back on. As it stands right now very rarely is it a smart move to use bubble offensively unless you’re positive it will net a kill.
Jesus, someone is actually trying to argue “Why is lay on hands unavabilable in arenas again?”, the coming days of WoW are coming to an end that is for certain.
It was an honest question, no need to throw shade in the comments assuming im trying to argue for lay on hands. I actually dont see where youre seeing an argument in my post
Id rather delete both divine shield and lay of hand if it meant for divine protection 20% wall to come back and divine shield being changed to no longer immune but 90% dmg taken reduced and 3min cd.
It is kind of odd, honestly. I feel it’s more of just a product of its time. At this point, there are many other similar CDs that are available, that honestly put LoH to shame, given its incredibly long CD. It’s properly just an after thought, something that they just never bothered re-allowing in Arena.
I think its actually an older reasoning on why its not avilable. There used to be no dampening and the game timers could go upwards of 40 minutes. But now with the removal of x2 sac and that loh applies forbidance i dont see why pallys couldent use it now with maybe the exception of ret since they are a dps spec.
Current implementation of Lay on Hands requires too much skill, IMO. It should be an auto-LoH that procs when you take what would have been a killing blow. It should have an internal cooldown of 30 seconds or so and not prevent bubbles.
Gee do I sure wish infernal was still a 10 minute cd or w/e it was.
Can I have shroud back too then?
It was 1 hour until WotLK, then it was 15 minutes.
Rdruids do it all the time with swiftmend regrowth.
Yep lol. Thanks that’s the combo I was thinking of. SM+sotf Regrowth.
The ability to “automatically heal someone to full” is really powerful.
Unfortunately, we’re currently in a position where a lot of heals can do this, even if they’re not specifically designed to do it.
I thought LoH got namechanged to divine favor
They have literally co-existed since Vanilla, together.
