Can’t he just use magic to make himself float or do something that doesn’t look so ridiculous? Is his biggest weakness now a set of stairs? I don’t think Azeroth is very wheelchair accessible.

I mean, he probably could, but his friend and crush Modera made it for him. I’d probably humor my hypothetical crush too if they put in the effort to make me something. He’s a smart man.

It’s probably just more comfortable to be in a sitting position. The guy can teleport so he could be in a regular chair if he wanted.
If you use the “Stay a While and Listen” dialogue option, you learn Modera - the woman he is in love with, made it for him, so he uses it for her. He even remarks that he doesn’t actually need it.

To be fair, I think that stay a while and listen starts from Alleria, not Khadgar, but yea.
I just go with the Chinese version of the game for lore now. It is the canon version of the game.
Whatever’s in the game is canon now.

They’re setting up the narrative that Khadgar not only looks old, now he’s also starting to feel old. And frail.
The wheelchair is a visual reminder every time we see him on screen that his recent experience has aged him.
I think they’re setting the scene for Khadgar’s death at some point in this trilogy.

Which is just nonsense because wizards living to stupidly old ages and still looking young is an established thing in Azeroth.
I’ll take the Khadgar from the WC movie over this one tbh.
