Jinx, a whole pvp talent slot that is wasted as Blizz implement more and more immunities to CC which prevents our curses from applying the dots. This is a little unfair as most classes are running some type of immunity. The worst part is how you still lose your soul shard.
Worst ones are Hover and nullifying shroud. You shouldnt have to do 10 globals to get some dots up while people are already do 5 mill damage to you before your third dot is up

I swapped to using satyr because i got so sick of everything being immune to slow and just eating the soulshard for nothing like you said, still also annoys me that other classes ON OUR OWN TEAM can purge all our DoTs too

i get that but if you want to slow them, you know it kinda sucks you have to use a unintended curse on someone just to get dots up
In my opinion, Blind, Sheep, Hex etc. should all “pause” dots until the cc breaks, then the dots kick back in.
Obviously not pause duration as that could be abused, but pause the damage
Or maybe have something akin to soul swap but passive. Like once every 1-2 min, if a target is CCd with your dots on them and the dots are removed, they return to you as a corrupted soul or something for 10 seconds. And while you have the corrupted soul you can press the ability to instantly reapply your dots/debuffs as they were when they were removed

Jinx is one of my favorite talents actually. Gives me the ability to get my curses and dots up quickly in a fight. It also makes me more mobile.
This is a brilliant idea.
If you want to slow them but theyre immune to slow, youre not going to slow them regardless of jinx.
Just gotta pay more attention.
The point he is making is it should not eat the soulstone only to then not apply agony and corruption/wither to the target if they are slow immune.

If they just had it still put the DoTs up without the slow that would be a great improvement.
absolutley, and i just leveled my evoker and the hero talents are the reason its so bad. I dont undertsnad how they would nerf us and then let THIS happen. I understand you can watch for the hover and Nullfying shroud etc, but man you literally have to wait like 1.5 minutes for all of that to expire. Ofc youre not really gonna wait but manually dotting everything 1by 1 is a little unfair by the time you get like 3 dots up some warrior has done 8 mill damage
They should change it to apply damage dots no matter what, and attempt to apply curses when it can.
The soul shard cost justifies this
