They like to pretend their content is failing when in fact they’re all succeeding and making billions.
Also, you should know there is a tactic involved, I forgot the term, but it’s advertising with outrage on purpose. So those two characters would be a good example, because they know it will make some people mad.

Oh for the…all of these sexist remarks are pissing me off! No one here questions why we have people like Thrall, Varian, Illidan(a guy who once blew up a planet!), Brox, Malfurion and nearly every major villian in WoW were so powerful! And now suddenly we have more female characters actually getting the spotlight and suddenly it is a problem for you guys? Female characters can be powerful in Warcraft and are just as indelible to Warcraft lore(just ask Alleria and Garona).
As for Jaina, she just happened to be natural gifted, like nearly every one I just mentioned! Hell, people like Illidan and Malfurion just happened to be born arcanely and druidicly gifted! And its not like Jaina did not spend the last two decades or so refining her magic for combat and constantly learning.
The problem with trying to compare her magical aptitude against elven mages is the fact most of these same thousand year old mages 1) were either killed off as is the case with blood elves/night elven highborne. 2) Joined the Legion 3) did not actually spend their time learning to fight with magic, they were secure in their kingdoms and either made their magic stagnate(just look at some of the nightborne!) or more likely reach the theoretical “cap” of their magical potential!

I consider that a small fish in the big pond that is movie ticket and dvd sales. Along with the money Disney makes with their theme parks. ( Excluding the loss of having the parks closed thanks to the c - virus )
just a thought here… maybe it isn’t so much that jaina is some uber super duper most powerful wizard in the world or anything. as was mentioned before, there are plenty of mages far older, and far wiser than she is, its possible that many of them are just as powerful, if not more powerful than her.
maybe she’s just particularly powerful, for her age… which also means she is also likely far more reckless with her powers, and more prone to using them in big flashy displays of power.
Medihv for example was able to turn kharazhan into a physics defying pocket dimension capable of ripping holes into the fabric of reality, basically just by existing there for too long. (granted he was the guardian and had some weird demonic empowerment going on as well)
I wouldn’t be surprised if there are a good number of the older and more powerful wizards in the world who are perfectly capable of summoning arcane flying battleships with magical cannons… they just don’t bother since they have other less mundane concerns to apply their talents to.

Movie tickets profits are not really that great (a movie has to colect its budget multiple times before seeing any profit). Back to the topic, my question is not related to Jaina’s gender but her age and race.
Sylvanas made sense to me why she became so op. Jaina? I never understood where it was all coming from this exp. She made out the best out of every single character. Maybe someone had a soft spot for her? I do know her past is a hot little teenage blond that defied daddy and her people. To help out some strange/exotic men. Also her boyfriend at the time was super abusive and she didn’t mind.
I have no idea tho why she made out the best in this expansion. Maybe because they put her through the ringer over several expansions. One time she had a nervous breakdown and murdered a bunch of Blood Elves. Also she was going to bomb Org at some point. So maybe they were trying to redeem her character a little bit?
Either way she got everything handed to her on a silver platter on BFA. To the point she got her own musical. Will never live that down. Oh and she still idolizes her abusive relationship from WC3. Love to see that still aren’t putting that to rest. We all know that a relationship that broke up 15+ years is the pillar our existence and people can truly never let bad love go… I’ve never cared for her character for pretty much all the reasons I stated already. Either way I hope not to see her in a prominent role for a while. As she got the best and close to the most amount of work in BFA.
I’m just happy to have a new mage who isn’t completely demolished yet. She might be a recovering addict, but she has a much better start than Jaina ever did. She actually fought for her people and started a revolution compared to one that turned her back completely…until BFA.
So many facepalmable lore inaccuracies. 
Arthas NEVER ABUSED HER! Arthas committed many crimes. Abusing Jaina was never one of them! The worse thing you could say about Arthas treatment of Jaina is he ignored her warnings during Stratholme and that is an entire thread worth of analysis.
Jaina moved on from Arthas LONNG ago. She got a new boyfriend(although they did sort of break up). However she has never forgotten Arthas because she genuinely loved him and felt grieve for how it all went down.
She was always destined to become powerful. Antonidas himself said she was destined to become the greatest mage humanity has ever produced. Medivh, at least HoTS Medivh says the same time! From Warcraft 3’s manual:

There is quite a bit wrong with your post. I will concede the flying ship was a bit out of the ordinary for jaina but even still seems within Jainas power level since it was more floating on water/ice she was controlling.
Nothing was just handed to her and her character development was probably the best in the expansion.
She didn’t just kill some random blood elves. They assisted Garrosh in turning her city into a crater and killed the leader of the Kirin’tor. As well as helped him steal the divine bell from the night elves. She gave them the opportunity to leave Dalaran and some refused. Those that didn’t fight went to the Violet Hold and those that fought her were alt F4d.
She didn’t plan to bomb orgrimmar but she was going to drown the city with a tidal wave because of the reasons above. She had/has every right and reason to hate the horde.
Jaina has always been one of the most powerful mages on Azeroth with awesome abilities early on.
Because plot wants her to be. It’s the same reason Sylvanas is so powerful now and is probably going to be our savior in Shadowlands.

Ok I love Jaina but Blizzard seems to have an obsession with blue eyes…it’s kinda creepy.
Every single major character that isn’t locked into a specific eye color (blood elves, draenei, night elves, etc.) has blue eyes :o
Aegwynn gave her the rest of her Guardian power, and as far as I know she still holding onto the staff that the blood elves infused part of the Thunder Kings power into that she later took from us. I still would only put her 3rd on the list of most powerful mages living. Kadgar and Azshara higher then her.
Edit: I also forgot she was dating the blue dragon aspect for some time. maybe some magic “rubbed” off on her?
