…to find groups for Uldaman? Almost every night for a week I’ve spent large amounts of time in Ironforge trying to find an Uldaman group and nothing has worked out.
The dungeon has a ton of quests and an enchanting trainer that I really need to get to…why does nobody ever want to run this instance?
Any idea how I am supposed to get to the enchanting trainer then? I had a group last night that almost made it in (broke up after 1+ hour of looking for tank) and someone else in the group had the same problem.
Is there any other place to find an enchanting trainer for 225+?
He’s on Bloodsail Buccaneers. If you’re on a PC (or mac - but not a mobile device), it’s easy to see which server people are on by scrolling over their avatar. The link shows their server.
Offer to pay someone to run you to the trainer, then forget the rest. This place is trash, so most people just skip coming here. Personally I prefer to do at least 1 run of each place for variety and quests, but it’s hard to blame people for skipping this one. ZF is a better deal in literally every way. If you took a vote for most hated dungeon, uldaman would certainly come up first. It wouldn’t even have a competitor except for maybe gnomeregan.
I actually hate going to that one more than uldaman, because many horde players are too damn dumb to pick up the quest for the rod. Every single group, you have to explain in detail to go get that quest, constantly check, then still have someone go to booty bay and NOT have the quest. So they’re going right back to org to pick it up. It’s horribly designed and punishes everyone as every group picks up at least 1 of these idiots. They should have put the rod quest right at the teleporter, and this is a change I would have been ok with. They didn’t reward you for being dumb back then.
Since November 2004, I have not completed an Uldaman run on a single character. When TBC launches, there is no need to run Uldaman as players are no longer required to go there for Enchanting. So the ‘problem’ will get worse.
i remember what a drag enchanting was to level as you go and the brillants were a pain but the really struggle was the trainer. It suggest back in retail to store all the greens or d/e for mats for a quicker gather of the lower stuff and then retake it again when you are strong enough to battle Ulda for that trainer. the whole reason i didnt take enchanting this time. and save the blues in the bank for when you do take it again.
