I don’t know for people who are maybe in the same case than me… But i’ve 261 ilvl ( thanks to mythic + dungeon ) 4p tier set equiped, 2 legendaries 291 ilvl, and even with that… EVEN WITH THAT, it’s a pain to be recruited for heroic raid I spend more time with Queueing on the search party than playing in raid …
Is it because leaders have already warriors in their party? or because they are the kind of people to only recruit guys above 270 ilvl ? I don’t understand what is happening…
pugging raids can be so hard at times. normally comes down to what the raid leaders want or thinks will make it easier. when wanting to do herioc and mythic raids I can never stress finding a good guild to progress with. as a fill in a full guild pug group they dont care bout you and will blame mistakes on you.
I hope someday seeing a kind of Queue like LFR and heroic dungeon, at least for normal and heroic raid, because it start to be really annoying to not be able playing the content that you want play.
I was in a guild before at nathria patch, I did 6/10 mythic, and i feel like my experience is useless for RL in PUg.
There i don’t really want go in a guild, because my gaming time will be randum soon.
the problem is LFR is good for people to see the story and it lowers the difficulty while also giving less high lvled gear. if we had a LFR for norm and herioc with how the mechanics and everything being fully turned up. it would be a very sad thing to see.
Sorry bout the hour changes. but with high end raiding pugging is a challenge and guilds will still be the best way.
its not hard to pig it. im already 7/11 (upto andun)
sure, sometimes you get bloody braindead teams, but thats only when its mostly made up of random puggers. if you get into a group thtas mostly guild members then its a cakewalk
Tons of DPS apply to groups. You have a lot of competition.
thats why i actually gear up my priest heal tbh
I think a lot of raids are just guild only things and people are disinclined to pug in and fill spots because flex.
My guild has found pugging is a mixed bag. We occasionally get good people. Other time we get -ists / -phobes or people who say creepy lewd things about minors. We don’t bother.
Most people who make the pug groups would look at your experience in the raid and see only 1/11 heroic, then they will decide that they don’t want to have someone learning the fights on their time and pick 1 of the other 50 dps applying who have more heroic boss’ cleared. It’s the path of least resistance. Don’t take it personally, and maybe make your own group
it just feel like, how are we supposed to progress when it’s the case? how new players can discover a content if people are so elitist ? for mythic raid I understand , but normal and heroic … I don’t know It just feel like it really miss something to help new players ( and old players who missed the last patch ) to be able doing that kind of content. A new Queue to get a party easier.
I think part of it is raids have been getting harder and harder which leads to stricter and stricter requirements.
Then, dps is so saturated that 50 dps apply for a handful of slots so the RL can be fairly picky.
And the number of people who want to lead a pug raid is really low because it normally comes with an expectation that they know what to do in all the fights.
