It’s cool. I personally when speaking on a subject, say: warrioring, like to post with my warrior avatar. Likewise my mage when speaking about my experience playing a mage. I would not blame others for taking my posts with a grain of salt if I chose to speak on something with zero proof that I have experience with it.
Want to speak about your experience with classic? Continue to post with your L120 toon, and people will continue to view you with little to no credibility. That is on you.

The character has 0% to do w/ the argument(s) being made (Mob X is going to have a Y% chance to drop item Z whether or not a poster is posting on a Retail or Classic toon).

If someone wants to ask a few questions about Classic before starting, having to grind to level 10(+?) could pose a significant barrier to entry/may stop them from exploring the game.

Unavailable race popularity might impact future Classic+/expansion decisions.

Where a post-Classic’s character level stops at might give people insights as to when/why a person stopped playing retail (if they have), might as well keep it.
I won’t post on my monk, I’ll stick to my Demon hunter instead.

Both of which don’t match my gender of Male.
The only people who care about that are the types who think if you’re not posting on a Classic avatar, then that invalidates anything you say. In other words, morons.

Who cares what you post with? I can make a dozen different characters and post on each one. I could have played a character to 60 in vanilla and post here. I could have a 120 and post here. I could have a character in classic and post here.
Honestly, I wish that the characters we post with were mostly just flair. The official account names should be what we are posting under. That way each person can be seen to be the same, no matter what character they switch to. Yeah, there are ways around that too but they are more difficult than just a character switch.
If you care more about someone’s avatar on the forums than the substance of what they’re saying, you’re the problem.
