Dude, it is this zone and only this zone that gives me 1500 ping and it’s extremely frustrating.
Why is Gorgrond so absurdly laggy?
Can’t say I’ve had the same experience. 
Might be an issue with your server group, rather than the zone specifically.
Like how my ping magically jumps up 200ms above my usual ping when I join a group (for LFG, M+, world boss, whatever) with Latin American players.
I dunno? I was just there earlier this evening and had no problems?
I’m told it has to do with a lot of bots. I don’t know what/where they’re farming, but it has been an issue with Gorgrond specifically for a bit now.

They used to farm the Iron Docks instance. But I can’t imagine that’d effect the actual Gorgrond zone unless they all zoned out and in at once.
I’ve been levelling in WoD quite a bit of late with a number of toons. There’s definitely an issue in Gorgrond which causes lag. Sometimes it’s there, sometimes it’s not. Sometimes it’s bearable and sometimes I port out to save me the grief.
I’ve never had the issue in other WoD zones. It’s very strange.
I did some stuff in Gorgrond a few weeks ago. I didn’t have any lag.
I can’t disagree. I haven’t spent enough time in Gorgrond. I did a couple levels there, did all the objective zones and moved on.
There seems to be a transient server lag issue that will make some zones basically unplayable on a server, then it’s fine after a few days.
