Why is GDKP bannable?

So if I search for a GDKP in SoD lfg chat, I will presumably be banned?

I don’t run with guilds becasue they are biased towards their friends, and you have to essentially make the “cut” in terms of being selected for the raids, within most guild groups.

So then alts, are pretty much left to find PUG’s that end up wiping on Kelris and never make it to Akumai, thus losing a raid ID and also the chances for some of the best loot.

GDKP’s even if you didn’t buy gold, were sometimes recognized as expected 7/7 runs, becuase after 1 wipe people aren’t leaving due to potentially losing their “cut”.

Why are we banning this without any added, new looting system?

I get it, GDKPs represent gold buying. But I feel like you just ruined it for a lot of casuals who just want to enjoy having some gear, and not getting steamrolled by rogue streamers for content that are wearing full bis that was pretty much handed to them.

Ban the GDKP but add something in its place that is ethical, works, doesn’t force the casuals into submission / unsubbing.

I dont want to play SoD in phase 2, where rogues and steamers are able to mercilessly go around to every non sanctuary zone and just gank players. Casuals stand absolutely no chance. The expectation is that guilds are the solution? Guild sometimes are terrible, committing to timed slots and biases just to try and compete.

Outside of the first week I’ve never wiped to Kelris in a pug, so no casuals aren’t forced into “submission” whatever the hell that means, or into unsubbing for being unable to complete raids. If you have encountered that more than once I’d say look for the common denominator in your raid PUGs (hint, there’s only one common element).

Also it’s bannable because Blizzard said so, and that’s all that it needs.

With the prevalence of gold buying it undermines the entire game.

Maybe you should try making friends with your guild then they’ll look after you? When you’re a skilled player you find the loot is just passed you for FREE

Seems as though every PUG bfd I find on crusader strike alliance, if we wipe once or even twice on Kelris, people leave. Its a waste of a raid id and 3 days, being as the best gear in the game is from the last two bosses. Im being somewhat ‘forced’ into finding a guild I can raid with, and subject to their time constraints and also their biases, as it relates to just trying to succeed in the game without being pummeled by gankers.

guilds force you to be subject to time schedules and not always guaranteed a spot.

Again, as someone who ran at least 50 BFD pugs in phase 1 and only had a single group fall apart to Kelris in the first week. I think the common denominator is the problem for your groups unable to kill Kelris.

They’ll guarantee you a spot if you’re good, and likable.

I think you should just go ahead and ban me then if this is where we’re going in SOD tbh.

I don’t agree with having to find a guild group, I can’t commit to time slots with my current schedule.

If I have to pug so be it, but I refuse to join pugs and not be given a fair chance at the last two bosses when people decide to leave and quit the raid.

Gdkp’s as bad as they may be, they pretty much guaranteed a full clear so everyone received payout.

My conclusion despite the trolls, Blizzard should find a better solution than to expect everyone to commit to guilds which isn’t always an available option for casual players. (those with odd schedules)

Not everyone deserves full clears.

yet another copium whiny thread from the rmt inflated payout addicts.

remember to report suspected gdkp CRIME after the 8th :police_car:

Ok so then why are we being forced into saved raid id?

why not allow for 1x loot per boss per lockout period, but allowed into different raid runs similar to retail?

Make that make sense.

Then find a guild that fits in with your time schedule! I can find guilds that raid at 8:00 AM 12:00 PM 7:00 PM Starting at 9:30pm all the way up to starting at 2:00 AM and if I can’t then just start one yourself it’s only a 10 man raid. Unless you’re on a dead server.

it sounds like all you guys would really prefer retail loot mechanics, it is available

and extra bonus, you can still buy your bis there

Why not remove Raid id’s?

Allow people 1x loot table per boss, given the constraints of the lockout period?

Why are we forcing people to only be committed to 1 chance at the raids per lockout, can’t we take the retail approach to this?

I wouldn’t mind running multiple groups for the chance at last two bosses, but it really messes with people who run with a single group per lockout and that group quits at 5/7.

Because the devs wanted to make people think they were addressing RMT without actually addressing RMT

Sadly, it’s working

Nah see that’s not as easy as swiping the credit card and then getting carried every 3 days. That requires actually playing well or those other 9 people will just leave or boot you and fill your worthless spot. OP needs a carry group of 7 so him and 2 others can pretend to know what raiding is, because when they join pugs they kill people on Kelris til the group disbands cause if its happening still to their groups there’s one person responsible and we all know who it is at this point.

You realize SoD is the only version of wow wherein GDKP’s are experiencing this rule in restricting them, yes?

You’re free to go play classic, hardcore, and wotlk/cata with no barriers in participating in GDKP.

If/when Blizz opts to continue it and/or take the ban away (as they’ve made it clear they’re testing the waters only in SoD) then you can make a decision to return.

It’s Blizzard’s game and they make the rules, like it or not.

Because it’s classic. They want you to get a tight group. It’s really in your best interest to, unless you gold buy raiding with the same people is the fastest way to get bis. Because eventually you will get everything.
