Why is everyone so surprised about a Tuesday maintenance

Back in the day every Tuesday was an 8 hour maintenance, sometimes even 12

And people then got used to it

Why such an issue now

its not, for everyone. Like you said, maintenance used to go on, sometimes all damn day. everyone will be ok

Back in the day, most of your children would die before the age of 5.

Nowadays, that’s a somewhat rare occurrence.

Back in the day floppy disks used to become stuck in the hard drive. The more you know! :thinking:

I remember when people would try to pull the tape out before winding it back into the cartridge and getting the tape all stuck in the VCR and pulled out in little spaghetti strings all over the place.

Well it is a break from the new norm, so it makes sense that people get upset.

I do agree and remember the older days of 8-12 hour maintenance days and even the ones that extended for a few days.

Ah yes, the good ole " We are extending maintenance for all realms for an additional 2 hours" and then 8 hours later, the realms came back on line heh. Good days lol.

People complained and demanded refunds years ago. I still remember the this is my only day off in like 3 months and the servers are down threads.

I remember people used to want currency compensation for it too. Like gold, or VP, or Conquest :man_facepalming:

You’re not supposed about it, so clearly not everyone is.

Unless of course you’re not a person and would not be included in everyone, which is a possibility but not very likely.
