I know plenty of people that still raid after getting their BiS. Some people just like raiding. Nothing prevents people from forming their own groups with RDF.
What’s also wrong with your comparison is the reward. The reward for completing heroics is badges. The reward for completing heroics with “communities of people working together” is that community, along with badges and gear. So if “community” is REALLY what people find rewarding, they shouldn’t have a problem forming groups even with RDF.

LFD is a no brainer and there should be no question about having it or not in WoTLK classic.
Not having it because “it is a classic experience around community” is the worst crap I’ve ever read in a good time.
No one cares who you’re, they just invite people from LFG bulletin Board.

Lol yeah, just go make a new character and get it to 70, get it geared, and do the content you were planning on doing on the character you were previously LF tank on. Right? Why play the class or spec you want, right? Why even try to enjoy things or have fun?
The point just goes right over your head. There are tanks out there, they might not be on right now, they might be busy, they might not be on your server. At least a cross-realm random dungeon finder puts you in a queue to wait in that gives you a chance to join up with a willing tank when they are available.

I don’t think many people are against RDF because its bad. Its a system with pros and cons.
Its got a lot of pros which is why it was added in the first place years ago but people have played with the cons of a less social, less invested game since then.
To the people who like and want RDF, you’ve had all those experiences already. I say, let the people who dislike it have a chance at their preferred version of the game. That is what classic is all about

Cool straw man arguments. A vendor selling BiS gear is game breaking, a tool that lets people connect for dungeons at odd hours, when their guild is raiding, when they’re on a low pop realm, are new to the game, or join a dungeon queue while questing/farming is not.
If you and your guild and friends are so vast that you don’t need a tool to help level alts or do a specific dungeon, don’t use the tool.

I honestly have no idea what you are asking here.
My only point is that “if you don’t like it, dont use it” is not and has never been a good argument for anything.
I’m not nearly as concerned about LFD being in or not as people might think, but the dishonesty and excessive drama constantly being thrown about in arguments about it compels me to post about it.

An add-on is being used to find groups now if only there was a system blizzard made that did it for us also instead of us using a third party program.

The largest community feature in classic WoW is the gold selling and GDKPs.

Heck yeah, I did all sorts of achievement runs with friends post RDF. Also helping friends gear alts through RDF, as well as leveling/gearing alts with them through RDF, or just farming off-spec sets through RDF in a group of random people.
Right? Ugh…

Most of the trolls on forums use low level alts to post because they don’t want anyone looking them up and seeing that either they don’t play the game, or they’re absolute trash. Over opinionated individuals who are clueless about whats good for the game.

I made more friends from RDF than from LFG chat spam. LFG chat spam usually makes me disinterested to even want to do a heroic, much less gear an alt.

You aren’t wrong that people are using LFG bulletin board to sort LFG chat and that LFD would be more efficient and easier. That was never my point though. You are using an actual decent argument that makes sense for LFD, the other person was not.
All I was saying is that LFD will absolutely cause an effect on the current method of finding groups and saying that it doesn’t because “you don’t have to use it if you don’t like it” is an incredibly dishonest argument. If, for whatever reason, people truly like the current method then LFD will cause a noticeable decline in game quality for those people.
