Why is Emeriss still a boss level NPC?

Just curious. Why is Emeriss still a boss level NPC?? I tried to find some updated info about these dragons online but all of the data I’ve seen shows that it drops ilvl 29 loot. If you try to solo it on a rogue you will be deleted. Found out the hard way.

He is buffed during the Anniversary Event every year. You should be able to find a group for him.

Yeah, Emeris and other nightmare dragons are part of The Originals Anniversary Event quest. Every day, one of them will become a Rare Elite max level Boss, and will give you 272 level gear.
