Why is double tap being removed?

They could even just make it so that double tap can’t be used on instant proc’d Aimed Shots in PvP.

Dude we already got our nerf. What was once 150% dmg LBs from Primordial Wave are now 75%. And we lost a ton of Ele Blast damage. Did we get any sort of defensive sustain in exchange? No. Stop spouting bs. Leave enhance alone

They’re not random and require like 5 globals.

They’re instant cast, so yeah, they are, and it depends on if they proc or not. As I said same with a bunch of other abilities, bye bye now. If you disagree with me -

Poor way to look at it.

A talent can be absolutely broken for BGs or low or mid-rated arena and not translate at all to higher end PvP. Good players can react to abilities like Double Tap fairly easily. They are looking for it. That doesn’t mean it’s not over powered.

That’s what we have right now. An ability that can take 50%+ of a players health or more. There is no time to actually meaningfully react to the damage. This is especially true in BGs or just world PvP.

Too much damage was being front loaded on one ability and it needed to go.

You don’t actually know how the class plays please stop talking like you do.

All PVP abilities and such should be separate from PVE kit for every class.

How only has Double Tap been removed, but I just did some testing and MM hunter is trash now. Aimed shot claims to do 50k damage (100k crit) but in testing it only does ~24k damage. The numbers you see as your damage while hovering over your abilities is an absolute lie now. Chimaera shot it says should be doing like 14k but I’m only hitting with it for like 6500 now.

DO NOT TRUST YOUR DAMAGE NUMBERS ON YOUR ABILITIES anymore.

Idk what the hell they did to try to nerf MM Hunter but it seems like they just deleted double tap and did an invisible 50% less damage hit to hunters without actually updating the damage numbers on the abilities. Why the heck should a 3 second cast aimed shot only do 25k now against players with like 400k health?

MM hunter is completely broken hot garbage now. They think I can let off 10+ aimed shots now at some wartard spamming 2 abilities at me and charging/rooting/slowing/stunning me to hell?

DO NOT USE MM ANYMORE. They took it WAYYYY too far.

Surv hunter still OPAF though. Love those 120k damage crit kill shots while using coordinated assault with 42% crit chance. Absolutely amazing.

Can’t believe they f’d MM hunter but don’t even touch Fury wartard, or do diddily squat about 0 skill rogues, Monk rising sun kicks, or any of the other hundred unbalanced, BS, 0 skill/0 thought/0 effort abilities/rotations like demon hunter. Don’t get me started on DH.
A virtually braindead St. Jude’s cancer kid suffering end stage 4 terminal brain cancer can mop the floors with a demon hunter rotation. It’s just like 3 abilities thoughtlessly spammed and of course, gotta have the 60 yard stupid football charge.

In pvp it was completely broken when used with rapid fire.

Then they should change it in PVP and stop ruining hunters for PVE.

yep. Double tap is needed for lonewolf hunters in pve. Like other classes this was big hp drainer in 3+ on 1 pulls openworld and such. to speed up mowing them down. Besides “execute” casts.

DT for lonewolf often sets up to use the execute. Just like other classes have their big damage cast to set up their execute.

SOme would go well put the pet out. My stance here is if I need a pet out, I’d run the pet spec. You know…BM. Need a pet, run the spec that boosts the hell out of the pet. why half butt it is my take here.

so alas…fairwell lonewolf MM hunter. Blizzard is really making it easy to not get separation anxiety in february. Lonewolf MM hunter was my thing.

Only in BGs. In every other avenue of PVP, it wasn’t that big of a deal. Hunters were garbage before the nerf, they’re hot garbage after. You can stop the hunter by just attacking and training them. They literally cannot stop you.

Because my cat taps me once per morning while I’m still asleep to try to get me to pet her.

Once, she tapped me twice before I was awake.

Enough said.

It was so easy to counter, a minor cc or a stun could make it come to an end after the first bullet, as a monk you have a stun and a ranged cc, easily counter double tap, just a show of skill more than unfairness. Then you don’t bat an eye when a monk has 3 npc with them all casting fists of fury for 40k a tick

It completely dominated kids in random bgs with the situational awareness of a potato.

Against anyone with a few brain cells to rub together DT got shut down or avoided. There is a reason MM, even pre-DT removal, had pathetic representation in rated play. And absolutely zero at the highest levels.

DT was a noob stomper

I swear it comes down to some blizz dev getting hit with it and being all “F THAT ITS GONE!”
