I am quite enjoying the Delves. I think they are a great idea. Yet I find the loot you get from them to be a pathetic joke.
Why are Delves not a competitive option for gearing?
I queue up a heroic dungeon, I run through killing things, usually no one dies, bosses are easy, collect 571 loot, maybe type GG before everyone zones out. Yet in a delve to get one piece of 571 loot you have to use a key that is rare. Why?
I’d argue I am actually more engaged in the delve than the dungeon, it takes more thought and effort as I am not leading the dungeon and the modifiers can kill you. The dungeon takes a group but the group is formed for you and there is zero communication as it is that easy!
Then there is the gold piles at the end. 1-3g!!! Really!!! What is this LBRS in Vanilla!!! You sell 200,000 gold for $20, and yet you cannot give out a couple hundred or even a 1000 at the end of a Delve? Like C’mon!
We will see what they end up at. I don’t like the precedent though that they feel the pregame delve is not equal to heroic dungeons which so far have offered no challenge at all.
They’re part of Vault loot. So they will have decent gear. But open world will always be a slower or a rung below other content. And we only have tier 3 open right now. They don’t want people spamming these for gear.
You can infinitely spam them, so no, they won’t do this.
Okay? So whether you do heroics or delves, you’re doing easy content. Delves are going to drop 603 gear once the season starts. Then you’ll be able to faceroll delves even faster. Not sure the problem here.
Because they you can only do up to T3 right now. Come back in a week and complain that you can’t beat the higher tiers. Go ahead I will wait. Because you know you will complain. “Delves are too hard”
