I don’t understand this feature. It’s limited to outdoor content. You can’t share quests or party-sync… Am I missing something here? I have every class to 60 except for a druid and monk so I wanted to level a Kul Tiran druid and my buddy is a troll hunter. I asked him if he wanted to do dungeons together. Hell yea he said!.. Oh, we can’t.
I dont get the decisions this company makes. They open up a feature like this to finally let you play with your friends, and then they restrict it and make it crappy.
Maybe, i dont know… Expand this feature to let us play with our friends as it was intended?? and also for guilds?
Thanks…

I said this was stupid when they first rolled it out. There is zero reason to make queued content still stuck in the anachronistic idea of one faction only. Not when the game is down to less than 700k active players.
You know what’s even dumber though? The fact that an alliance player can’t mount a horde player using the sandstone drake even though they’re in the same party.

The entire game world is hard-coded with Horde/Alliance being an impenetrable barrier. Not only for players, but for NPC’s as well.
That barrier can be waived in instances, because instances are inside a bubble micro-universe that is split off from the rest of the world.
But you can’t have cross-faction in the open world without removing them completely (i.e. Horde players can freely walk around in Stormwind and Ironforge).
I am okay with that, I can understand not wanting Stormwind to be filled with orcs and horde races. aesthetically that’s fine. What I don’t get is why cant me as a Kul’Tiran druid group with my Troll Hunter friend , and use dungeon finder to run the deadmines or a random dungeon and level up together? or party-sync at all? Yet it’s okay to form a group of 5 cross-faction players and go to the dungeon and zone in and clear it?
Nobody fills groups while leveling up. They queue in dungeon finder and spam em. I guess I dont understand why the dungeon finder feature is turned off or can’t be used in cross-faction groups?
