im not sure i understand why have crafting in the game anymore, grinding/farming is pretty useless if you can’t use it to catch you alts up to speed. the fact this game has come so far is amazing but the crafting is just bunk. 1 equip of lvl 262 crafted gear should not be a thing…yes i understand that you can buy green 226 gears with anima…but why cant you craft epics and then equip them…for alts or a main…no one groups with people who have a low ilvl so you have to max a character buy them GREEN gears and almost 70 ilvls under everyone else…on top of that you have to do heavy heroic and mythic grinding just to catch up to the low end- end game players. i don’t get it crafting should be used a a means to give alts a better chance at getting caught up, thats what is rewarding about it , maybe im just complaining but it doesn’t make sense

Crafting is always on a similar cycle to the expansion. It is incredible early on and becomes less useful as the expac comes to a close.
They are never going to let you craft to skip current content. You can equip as many crafted (or as you say anima-bought) 233s as you want which is more than strong enough to do (current content) Zereth Mortis which will quickly get you to 252. Then if you want to do group content you are strong enough to start the group content treadmill. The fact that that absolutely sucks is not crafting’s fault.
