Why is Convoke not being addressed?

They’re still lethal though. You can’t go toe to toe with a geared Ret Paladin with Wings up. I’ve been blown up and have played with one who just destroys players. But warrior comps are fine rn. They have a clear representation on the ladder even though there are plenty of caster comps out there too.

Obviously shows you have little to no understanding of how PvP works then if you’re saying this and believe it’s that simple to stop Convoke killing someone in .2 seconds.

Has absolutely nothing to do with “free casting” since you can press Convoke and kill someone in less than half a second.

Yes I agree Paladins are extremely dangerous not disputing that. Warriors can still edge them out if said warrior know what they’re doing. With Shattering Throw back in the line up

What’s harder to Interupt?

A 4 sec pyroblast for 30k

Or a 4 sec channeled convoke for 30k?

I mean, yeah? I’ve not died to Convoke once yet, and…well, you can see my gear. If I can survive it long enough to Kick, anyone can.

The difference there is one spell that hits one target vs. twelve that can hit multiple targets.

It can hit any player with enough damage to kill then in a 1/2 second.

Convoke is not 4 seconds long for it’s damage burst… You can immediately get a Full Moon + Star Surge within .4 seconds of the cast starting and that instantly kills someone.

Pyroblast is most certainly never hard casted in PvP unless they’re completely incompetent at playing Fire mage and most definitely does not hit for 30k

Why are you even trying to compare the two when they’re nothing alike?

Convoke is still insanely overpowered for Boomkins in PvP and should at least have Full Moon + Star Surge damage nerfed down so that we’re not dying after .2 seconds of a Convoke being cast.

Using your words, you’re showing your own “incompetence” because hard casting pyroblast for 25-30k is indeed a new meta. Look it up on YouTube.

Again, hard casting a 3 second spell vs pressing Convoke which can kill you .2 seconds is not even comparable.

This isn’t about mages, this thread is about Druids.

It’s nonsense, and the versatility gear has made comps like Boomy/Mage even better because they’re literally unkillable.

They self heal and have so many defensives, and can one-shot people. I’m not sure how this is even counterable. They need to nerf fire mage/boomy in arena, big time. As a melee these comps are pretty much becoming unplayable against. The queues are so full of them because they’re so broken that arenas are just becoming unqueable.

And only 1 in top 50 for 3v3

Clearly they are unstoppable and there is absolutely no counter.

Probably because boomkins get focused and deleted in arenas on principle; it’s a lot harder to keep tabs on a Druid coming out of stealth in a Battleground or WPvP.

It’s not being addressed because it’s a huge ability that affects all three specs, a huge part of the playerbase, and it needs to be redesigned from the ground up in a way that is fair to all. That’s not an easy task. I bet it’s taking a fair amount of design time
