I want boomis to be good. Seriously. They are super healthy for a good meta. I DON’T want to see any spec get over nerfed. Hunters do really well when the meta is balanced and diversity is high. Right now though, that damage isn’t right. No one should be doing enough damage to kill a player in .4-.7s.
I did. I have used to stun. You just don’t get it. In the first fraction of a second, it’s enough to deal 30-40k+ damage. I can link screenshots if you want where I have gotten interrupts and still died. My pet stun can take a half second if I have to recall my pet. If the first hit is a full moon crit, It’s not even .3s. So even if I instantly use a CD, because travel time I can still die even if I turtle in the first .2s.
Do you get that? The very first hit can be a fullmoon and I have seen them hit for 23k+. 70% of a players life in .2s. That goes way beyond kicking.
This is the kind of crap that encourages kick bots.
This is a bit of an issue, ‘kick the Convoke’ which will get at least one cast off, okay so you traded a counter for taking damage, fair. What if they don’t cast Convoke, just sit there and take the star surges that Convoke would cast? Then have kick on CD when they do Convoke? Druids have a lot of hard hitting spells, heals, peels, instants, movement freedoms… the last thing a boomkin needed what an on demand instant big hurt added to their kit.
I can’t wait for Blizzard to nerf an ability that keeps me viable in raids because people who PVP are crying about it.
How about we don’t ruin abilities because of PvP. There is a very simple solution here instead, disable covenant abilities in battlegrounds and arena.
You know they nerf a lot of stuff just for PvP. Why can’t we have both?
They can make PvP specific nerfs without affecting PvE.

Moonkins are virtually made of wet toilet paper, with druids having perhaps the worst defensive cd’s in the game with a pitiful 20% DR every minute as the entirety of their defensive kit, on top of their only interrupt being a 1 min cd.
If they’re not pumping out damage, they’re effectively a worthless spec.

So far every nerf for Balance has been a reflection from PVP, and yet it’s an all around nerf.
Sadly, some specs are balanced around their covenant. They nerf abilities just for PvP all the time. This is one of those times.
It can be as simple as 'Reduce damage of Convoke by 50% when in combat with players." Done.

There’s a difference though between pumping out damage and essentially globaling other players in a heartbeat.

I believe a tune down is necessary. Bursting is fine. 1 shotting with little to no context clues is not.
True to an extent, druids have amazing kite and can become decent healers or tanks when needed. I’m not calling the spec OP but Convoke muddies the water and makes arenas last 10 seconds, it needs touched on
