Convoke itself isn’t broken its the abilities it cast that do too much damage. Convoke is very easily dealt with any form of cc basically cancels the channel. I find it funny though that people call to nerf it instead though makes so much sense. Also hunters are still out there nuking people out of stealth themselves so yeah…

The issue is the damage that deals… not what it does.
A resto druid with feral afinity shouldnt be doing feral damage when they push a button and gets rewarded for no cc.
You can argue that’s the others team fault for no cc and bla bla but that’s not the point here… the burst meta while funny it’s funny when you’re the one bursting others not when you get bursted.
It’s gonna get “damage reduced against enemy players” which is unfortunate, druids are only allowed to be healers I guess heh
How do I counter that when I’m in a bg with max level party sync-ers spamming that on cd? And I don’t have a stun yet? Overrun doesn’t interrupt it.
I am guessing problem is, they will not nerf the covenant ability (They say they will not do that until next big patch) otherwise we will have a revolt from players specifically choosing their covenant for its power.
So if they nerf other aspects to the ground then they will most certainly make the DPS class useless for pve.
Edit: Also if they nerf abilities for pvp balancing around convoke then people that choose a weaker covenant will get shafted they have a tough one to balance stuff
Nerfing all expansion since once one spec gets nerfed, another is noticed and demanded to be nerfed. Endless cycle.
Balance has to be op right now so that blizz can say the eclipse return was a success
I actually thought I would hate it, but I don’t feel that big of change from BFA, I am actually happy and at the same time scared on how good druid is doing, that means we might get the nerf hammer, and when blizz does that it never goes small it always goes god damn nuclear

Should I post on my druid instead? Also, I’m playing survival. MM was already nerfed. No one is getting globaled by it. The burst is good. Dampening play was horrible.

There’s not a call for druids to only be healers. But there needs to be some kind of context clue that you’re about to die right? You kick Convoke and still get 100 - 0? How is that a good design?
Lets take MoPs model for instance. When a Druid pops Incarnation, you know you’re in trouble and are about to get blown up. Nobody’s going to argue against the burst meta as long as there are signs that it’s about to happen.
This is only happening if you’re slow to kick, or lagging. Seems like people are having zero problems kicking my convoke, and I only get off a few spells as a result.
There’s nothing currently wrong with convoke.

no matter what class, whether you are in a stun or not. you shouldn’t be able to do enough damage (by yourself) to kill someone in under a Global or Two.
Rogues were doing that in the beginning of the xpac. I havn’t jumped into a BG since they applied the changes, so I’m not sure if it made a difference or not.
It’s not. Did you not see the screenshot I added? I died .5s of coming out of stealth. On my screen the druid doesn’t even pop out for the first .2s or so which gives me like .3s to immediately turtle? I’m not in range to kick.
And again, I keep saying it. My pet is literally dying as its traveling to the boomkin to stun. This has happened twice. My pet is almost instantly getting gibbed.
If you’re getting kicked instantly, setup better. Why isn’t your team locking down the targets and cross cc’ing to help you get your damage off? Mages were casting 4s greater pyros all last expansion and you think getting 2-3s of a channel off is difficult??
