The game continues to crash every time we try to apply a transmog or even preview our sets, instantly booting us out of the client. After relaunching, the game runs in a severely degraded state choppy, unstable, and nearly unplayable making it impossible to use a core feature of the game. What makes this even more frustrating is how difficult Blizzard has made it to contact customer service. When a game is this broken and players are repeatedly kicked just for using the transmog system, there should be accountability. It’s unreasonable for a paid, actively updated game to remain in this condition while support channels are nearly impossible to reach.
Blizzard ended courtesy tech support, so tickets are primarily available for billing, account and some in game issues.
As far as crashes and latency, they do provide limit self help, and this forum for player to player discussion.
It unfortunately doesn’t replace local repair shops or technicians.
For player discussion more information about your device maybe needed, details in this post.
I’m not seeing the option on how to submit a ticket with tech?
You can’t. Because there is no more Blizzard tech support. As previously stated.
It’s all player help here. If you follow Kozzae’s second post instructions, there are plenty here very knowledgeable who could help.
I will say that issues with transmog crashes are frequently related to DX12 issues; switching to DX11 has fixed it for most. Give that a shot?
World of Warcraft consistently crashes whenever I attempt to apply a transmog. Once the game shuts down and reloads, performance becomes extremely choppy and the game is effectively unplayable until I restart the client.
Unfortunately, while this is a known issue, and has been for a while, it’s not something a gm can help with. They likely would refer to the bug support forum or here.
I do see you have a bug report thread open, now.
Recommended work around is to change to Dx11.
Are we able to request a refund if we’ve been unable to play the game due to this issue?
You’re not unable to play the game, though.
You have access to the servers, and you can play the content. Your character may not look like what you want, but you can play the game.
Have you tried the dx11 as suggested above?
