Why is cloth transmog so bad?

Mail and leather have all kinds of great options for transmog, plate has mediocre options… cloth has dresses.

Why can’t I have a vest or some more “adventurer” looking gear for my cloth classes? There’s like 10 sleeveless options total, very few pants that aren’t meant to go with a dress, and cloth boots suck because they’re usually hidden by a dress.

Can we have more transmog options for cloth? The pirate outfit for the first trading post was cool, do more like that. Not the class-specific ones we’ve been getting.

And also, why is 95% of cloth armor a dress?

I feel rather the opposite.

I think clothies have really nice clothing options from full dress to a number of skimp mogs.

I’d love to have access those on my leather.

As for my plate characters I’m fairly satisfied though.

Woah hold up, you said mail armor has great options?
I can’t stand most of the gear looks on my hunter. And it’s a big reason I can’t start a shaman.

A robe isn’t a dress. It’s the go-to garb for learned adventurers. You know you can play a leather or mail class if it’s that big of a deal to you, yeah?

Mail has a lot of lighter looking stuff, a lot of vests, hoods, etc. I like looking like an actual adventurer, not a Power Ranger, so. Leather also has a lot of good options. Plate has some but not many, most plate armor is leaning more toward garish and cartoonishly big.

A robe is a man dress. I want my mage or warlock to look like an adventurer.

Okay, I don’t play priest. I play mage and warlock. And priest tier also isn’t a vest, it’s a coat.

I have never seen it like this I feel like cloth has the best followed by plate and then leather and mail are always the worst of the worst sometimes I don’t even know how those sets go live honestly with how bad they are.

It has some nice looking gear, but it has very low variety. Most options are a dress, or a long sleeve coat with puffy sleeves. I want more vests, more shirts/tunics, thing like that. And boots that don’t look like doodoo to go with them, as most cloth boots are the slippers model, with very few “normal” looking options for boots.

Better than cloth. Imo, in terms of variety and quality of transmogs, it goes: Leather > Mail > Plate > Cloth.

Yeah, IRL you would NOT want to wear a “robe” aka a dress into battle even in back lines if you were a magic user. Your prime for instant kill by arrow. Also you can get caught on your dress and trip and fall. Its bad for movement.

lol good one. its the easy way to get an adventurer killed first adventure.
