Why is Classic Vanilla PVP more fun?

Outside of Tremor Totem / Ice Block / Pala bubble there is zero % chance to survive that.

And a smart lock will just kill tremor anyway

I absolutely love T2 on my mage. I spec’d PoM/Frost and would fish for procs… No one is surviving two shatters. Oh, and whats annoying to go up against? FAP’n War/Rogues… you pom sheep to bait trinket and sheep again.

The proc from T2 goes off ALOT.

You could make a case the game is more PvE focused and therefore some abilities aren’t perfectly tuned for PvP but everything you listed stems from the game being more old school RPG - and I cant really find fault with that.

Oh yeah, classic racials are totally not factually busted on the horde side for PvP. Totally not a fact that 25% stun resist is bonkers broken.

And? Where were you guaranteed totally balanced racials? Alliance has it better for PvE. Each faction has a class the other does not. These differences were intentional so each faction stood out instead of being carbon copies of one another - yknow, like a real RPG.

This is part of what makes Vanilla special, in case you weren’t sure.

Alliance racials in PVP can be very tilting also…

Escape artist makes warriors more dangerous, makes gnome mages harder to handle.

Thing is racials on both sides are dumb, and if we were to “fix it” the real solution is to remove all the racials both passive and active of all kinds.

I feel like Classic PvP is fun because it’s slow and you don’t need the lightning quick reflexes of a 17 year old amped up on caffeine to succeed like retail

My issue about retail is (and this is from a healer perspective) the random 1 shots. You can have everyone nearly top off and out of the blue someone just drops. That is not fun.

I have always wish for blizzard to make it where no skill hits for 150K+. The large health pools are a lazy dumb way to try and fix damage/healing. Oh, and make casting matter again. Stop giving melee 1 billion ways to close gaps.

My pitch for balanced racials:

toughness down to 10%

increase cd on wotf to 3-5 mins

Buff to troll berserk and regen.

Alter shadowmeld so that nightelf rogues can use stealth abilities while shadowmelded and shadowmeld and stealth stack, so increased stealth levels when both are active.

Remove perception, replace with something good. All ally warriors are fury, all horde are arms, because ally don’t have good warrior racials other than gnomes.

Allow exorcism to be cast on players

Reduce the cast time of cl and lb by .5 sec, and change the talent to reduce by .5 not by 1,as it is now those spells scale better than other spell with that cast time. Reduce earth shock and frost shock base damage by about 75

This is actually insanely good in retail PvP. I think it’s underrated. It’s so easy to juke caster’s big damage spells with it
