Why is capping so fast in blitz when

There is so much cc bloat in this game?

Like 4 seconds to cap or something who thought that was a good idea when nearly every stun in the game lasts that long or longer. Even warrior fear.

And who thought extra mount speed was a good idea so everyone could go sit on it after its capped quicker than the flash.

Not a big issue on hunter as i can have my pet stop him but on priest… never had less fun in my entire life.

My favorite version of him is when he just sits on his blizz bear in random locations throughout the map, spam clicking through everyone on his team really fast for half the bg on his dk. Then randomly afks out of winnings bgs.

I think they should increase it to 4.5 seconds. Still a short timer, but makes stuff like cheap shot cap and bash cap not possible. They should also add a visible cast bar when enemies or teammates are capping nodes. I’m 90% sure the original Deepwind Gorge had a visible cast bar when people were capping the mines. Don’t know why they never added it to all the other BGs.

Cap timer is fine, some classes other than rogue mage are allowed to have some fun.

You can play with a pet summon to keep someone in combat if you have to burn trinket. You can play max distance to avoid a stun/cc/cap and force them to run to the flag to cap which gives you time for CC to wear off. You’re ranged so use your range to avoid CC. You can play night elf to avoid CC until flag is ready.

While there are better classes to watch a node, most can fend off one person until help comes. I can usually stop 2-3 people with my hunter.

The timers seem fine to me. That’s not the problem with Blitz.

Team suffers from fast mounts, cc and short cap timers. I mean that’s gotta suck! You know what would be fair? If everyone had to play thi- oh wait….everyone has to play this way. GG close the thread

The mount speed increase is my favorite part about Blitz. It’s nice to see an objective and be able to actually reach it in a timely manner.

You might not know this, being hard stuck at 1800 after hundreds of games and all, but there can still be issues that favor certain classes and specs unnecessarily and relatively nerf others. It’s possible for this to make it less fun even though each team has an equal chance of landing favored specs.

I think the capping time is great for people who understand 100% of what happens when you trinket air. ANYONE can cap a base at 4 seconds by using a CC if the base sitter has no trinket or trinkets nothing to sit a full CC. Thats exactly how the game should punish someone who doesnt understand what job they are performing sitting the base.

I liked how the one game I’ve played with you, you sat in mid like a noob instead of paying any attention to carts while their stealthers went past you. I can see why you’re so angry about being bad. I would be upset if I was that bad too.

I mostly agree, but not every class has as many DRs to work with or the ability to capitalize on a DR reset the second it’s available.
There’s a reason mage / rogue rep is so disproportionately inflated in blitz compared to arena. You prevent the initial cap, they rotate defensives for 20sec, you don’t have trinket for next cap.

Well said. I was going to respond but it was going to be too snarky, as usual.

Root/beam to gobble trinket and then cyclone to cap is dumb. Too many un-counterable things for too many specs to have a chance to spin. So then such a huge part is luck on the team comp: if you have specs with options to spin and if you have stealth attackers with loads of cc.
